I had light blonde hair as a girl and started going a little bit mousey when I was a teenager in the winter when the sun doesn't lighten it. I started using Sun In and I'm still using it 17 years later. I recommend spraying it on after you have washed your hair and it is damp- then go an sit in the sun. I get complements on the colour of my hair all the time - especially from Hairdressers. When I tell them what I use they look at me in disbelief. It turns my hair the colour of Paris hilton's -with only one application. I think to achieve this colour you need to have naturally blonde hair already. My hair is in really good condition too. I just use sun in to touch up the roots every two weeks. In winter I have to use a hair dryer - which I find doesn't achieve the same light shiney blonde colour. It is more of a golden colour. Which is still nice too. I think hairdressers hate Sun In because people that have brown hair use it and it turns their hair orange. I also use violet/purple shampoo every second day and the john freida blonde shampoo and conditioner everyday. My hair looks like the timotei girl in the advert. Using Sun has saved me thousands of dollars on hairdresser treatments. I'm really pleased I discovered the product.

I really liked how easy it was to use Sun-In Super Spray-In Hair Lightener but it made my hair dry.

When I was younger my hair was a sun-kissed blonde, but is now long and a dirty blonde colour. I brought Sun In Gentle from Boots for £5.15. I tried to use it at home with a hair dryer and only noticed little difference in the hair colour. Shortly after this I went on holiday to Egypt and used it there. My hair went a lovely blonde colour- exactly how i wanted it. Shortly after coming home my roots stated to grow; my hairdresser told me that I was "so bad" for using it on my hair- but noth ...

Ive used Sun-In Super Spray-In Hair Lightener for many years. it gives a nice natural blonde look with highlights. i have no problem with broken hairs and when my roots start to really show i just spray it on them. It works!! Use it sparingly and look after your hair and there will be no problem at all!

I used super sun in spray for about 10 years, loved it as i have dark brown hair and was the only hair dye that dyed it the shade of blonde it advertised, but it is a gradual thing, you cant put one application on dark hair and expect it to lighten straight away. The best way to see the results is to blow dry it and re-apply it a few times, it would take me about 30mins of re-applying it to get the results i wanted, but it does sting if you do it this way, i was fine with the sensation but i had ...

I have been using Sun-In Super Spray-In Hair Lightener for 50 years and have no problems at all - my hair is in excellant condition which is confirmed by my hairdresser when I have my hair cut. I only use it about twice monthly and as I have a mixture of dark blond and grey hair it brightens the grey to silver, giving it s lovley gold and silver effect, not to brassy for someone approaching 70 years of age. I feel that if this product is used sensibly and not as a bleach but as a highlighter th ...

Anybody who complains about their hair snapping off obviously just doesn't know how to condition it. I have belly button length dirty blonde hair. It's still in perfect condition after using Sun-In about ten times. I don't straighten or hotcurl my hair often, maybe that's why. But I know several girls with extraordinary and beautiful hair and they swear bythis. I haven't met anybody who complained who knew how to take care of their hair in the first place. Leave in conditioner.... Imfusium 23 ac ...

At first i loved Sun-In Super Spray-In Hair Lightener but gradually it made my hair very dry and brittle. itc was like bits of chewing gum eventually. i went to the hair dressers to get some high lights put in and the hair dye reacted with the sun in and made my hair all snap off.

i would not recommend using this product. always get it done professionally

I have used Sun-In Spray-In hair lightener three times and each time have been able to dye my hair afterwards without much trouble. It contains fewer damaging chemicals than most hair dyes- especially bleach, so is a healthier and more natural way to lighten your hair. To be safe, ensure you condition your hair thoroughly and buy a post-dye conditioner to prevent damage.

You cannot put any colour in your hair as there is a metallic reaction between the dye and the sun-in. You will have to wait for it to grow out!!!! DISASTER as now I've roots that look a show..

Sun-in Super Spray-In Hair Lightener does lighten your hair, but once you start getting roots you can't dye over the top because the hair dresser says that your hair will snap. I used this product a year ago and it just made my hair go orange! I had darkish blonde coloured hair to begin with and really wish now that I had kept it that colour!

I would strongly advise people not to use sun-in because you will regret it.

I used sun-in at Xmas as I couldn't afford to get the colour done at a hairdresser at the time (My hair is blonde but has got duller as I have got older so I use highlights to keep it looking lighter). A work mate told me she uses it all the time and that she swears by it-What a mistake! I went to the hairdresser earlier this year and was told they couldn't touch it due to the metallic salts in the product- these react with hair colourants and can make your hair fall out. Its been 6 months now ...

I have always had blonde hair, but as i got to 15 it started to go slighlty darker so i decided to try sun-in. At first i loved sun-in, it went a lovely natural blonde colour and it looked shiny. However, as a result of using sun-in over the last few years my hair is in terrible condition. I am not allowed to straighten my hair, or apply any heat as my hair is so brittle and just breaks off. The hairdressers have told me i have to wait until it all grows out before i can do anything with my hair ...

Sun-In Super Spray-In Hair Lightener worked for me. My hair was light brown/Dark blonde and now it's a lot lighter & i've only used it once. It actually made my hair softer, not brittle at all.I think it works better with a hair dryer than in the sun. It barely contains any hydrodyen poroxyde. It is not a bleach at all. It has lemon juice chamomile extracts and a ton of natural ingredients that are proven to lighten hair. Also it's triggered by heat not UVA or UVB rays so any heat source would m ...

I did not like Sun-In Super Spray-In Hair Lightener at all. While it did dry my hair out like other reviewers have said, I could not find any appreciable lightening even after several days of use. I tried it with several different methods. First, I just lightly sprayed it on the parts I wanted lightened and used the hair dryer. After a few days of this, I couldn't see any color change compared to the pieces not sprayed. Then, I sprayed my hair more heavily and sat in the sun for an hour or ...
