    Beware booking with EasyCar - cost us more than we thought!

    I booked with EasyCar because it was one of the cheapest quotes I could find and also a company I thought I could trust.

    But before booking with EasyCar I strongly recommend reading the Terms and Conditions. When we went to pick up our car we were told that we had to pay £55 for the full tank of petrol in the car. We were also told to bring the car back almost empty, how many people are going to drive to the airport with minimal fuel??? We only ended up using a quarter of a tank. We also had to pay a 15 Euro airport surcharge which I think should have been added in to the cost (although it does mention this in the booking form).

    Wouldn't use again, feel scammed!

    When you book in large letters it appears as 'free cancellation' when you get to the booking then you have the small letters 'within 24 hours of the booking' if you are going to fast you would think you can actually cancel your booking for free up to 24 hours.... NO, off course not this is not the way to make money. Once you made the booking you have 24hrs to cancel, otherwise too late and you lose everything. Bravo easycar certainly an efficient way to make money. Pathetic though from customer ...

    It took us 40 mins to find the camper van parked in a car park from which the rental agency was being run! Despite receiving confirmation of the booking the week before and the money being taken from our account, we arrived to find the car had been cancelled for no reason and the rep just drove off and left us with 2 kids in the hot sun.     easyCar rental and their partners in crime Targarent are both providers of shockingly poor customer service.

    To paraphrase the traffic reports: "Severe Delay...AVOID!"

    ps: they only got 1 star as zero was not an option!

    Having read some terrible reviews, was a little nervous about Easy Car Rental although somewhat reassured to see that Alamo was the local agent in Phoenix. In the event, arrangements were faultless, had the choice of more than 10 SUVs for our "Ford Trailblazer" level car and got a brand new GMC Acadia with satnav, additional drivers, and full tank for the same price as Alamo would have charged fro the car alone. Even had XM radio still on "free trial". Brilliant deal!

    We rent a car from easycar,but the rental company was the targarent to Milano,Malpensa.
    They charge us 92 Euro,without statement,for nothing, but finally,after 6 months,EASYCAR,send us back the money.
    So EASYCAR, made grate job, but be carefull the partners!

    We paid Easy Car Rental for a Ford Focus sized car and actually was given a Fiat Punto with scratches and dents literally all over it. The agent ADA just said "too many scratches to list" on the contract agreement which you sign for when taking the car. On returning the car after 2 weeks in EXACTLY the same condition we were told that we had damaged the car.     I booked a car from Easy Car in March 2009 for two weeks in May 2009. On collection of car at Alicante Airport I was offered additional Insurance which I declined and I agreed to leave car back with full fuel tank. Two weeks later I returned the car with full fuel tank and two days later I discovered that an extra '97.00 had been taken from my Visa account.     I rent a car to Milano Italy,f rom Easy Car Rental, when i was back home,i found an extra charge 92 euros!
    I ask from easycar what is this,and they told me to send all my documents from the rental.
    It pass more than 60 days,but nothing yet!
    So be careful!
    You can rent cheap,but you pay after the double!

    DO NOT RENT FROM EASYCAR.

    I booked my car through the easycar website over a month ago. One day before I was due to fly they emailed me to tell me that they couldn't provide me with a car and to resubmit a search on their website. After booking with them the screen says that they would get back to me within 48 hours. After two days I rang them and was on the phone for 10 minutes without speaking to anyone.     Rented a van and told I was not able to pick it up on arrival. Rubbish service, location didn't have Easy Car Rental name or logo to tell you it was there. Customer service line is an 0906 number which I couldn't call from my mobile or a payphone and probably wouldn't want to!

    "Awful" experience with Easy Car Rental. They transferred us to Targarent in Pisa, waited ages at airport for awful service, then got a beat up well used Alfa. Even worst when we returned the car. Charged us nearly £100 for 25ltrs of fuel.

    I would advise anyone who is renting from Easycar to make sure that they are renting from Easycar and not, one of there sub companys in other countries

    Same problem as others! Lease an Easy Car Rental car online to save £10 and when we went to pick it up, surprise, surprise...no car that size. They don't even have small cars there to lease, so had to get a bigger, more expensive car as daughter had to have a car while we searched for a new one for her.

    DO NOT RENT FROM EASY CAR/ IMPERIAL CARS. I rented 3 cars in South Africa from them at a total of over £1200.00 they took another £250.00 after the cars were returnedsaying it was for fuel and other charges. The cars went back fully refueled and in exactly the same condition as recieved.

    Could find the car company at airport we had to get a taxi to office then when we took car back they said there was a bump on side of door we agreed to take responsibility because we had paid for the zero risk insurance with easycar the car hire company told us they would invoice the insurance but two weeks after we got home the car hire company took £405.from our bank account without telling us we rang easycar but was given no help.

    No information about how to get to the pick up point (Heathrow airport) by public transport.Pick up point wrongly identified on map. Cheap but not easy. I would not recommend Easy Car Rental.

    When we booked a child seat it said this was not guaranteed but we found it hard to believe we would be left without one as we couldn't drive away without. The seats on offer were completely outdated and worn. It was not possible to fix it securely in the car. The straps for the baby were filthy twisted. The staff response was take it or leave it. We took the seat so that we could get to our destination and hired a new seat there. Tyres were also in poor condition.

First, Sixt, the agency EasyCar used this time, would not give me the car because they claimed my driver's license (international, issued in Russia, with inscriptions in French) is not valid for the hire because they cannot understand it (even though I used it in the UK and elsewhere in Europe for the last 8 years).
