“no refund for passenger admitted to hospital after stroke”

The tickets were booked for travel on 28 July 2014, 1 adult, 46 years old, 1 child 12 years old and 1 child of 11 years of age. The adult was admitted to hospital after suffering a stroke. I contacted lastminuted.com and the only refund offered was £150. The initial booking fee paid was £1,444. Now is this ridiculous or what?!! “Disgusting way to treat people !!!!! Never again !!!!!”

I booked four rooms back in February this year for 12th July for one night at The Carrington House Hotel in Bournemouth. This was to be my stag weekend, we went paintballing first and then got to the hotel about five o'clock to check in, only to be told that they had no booking for us, I had my confirmation e mail with me showing I had paid and it had all been confirmed. We booked our holiday+Hotel package through last minute and the initial booking went through without a hiccup. Until the conformation email came through. Oh dear, a hotel room for 2 people not 3 as we requested and repeatedly said so not to get it wrong. Well he did. We phoned them back and got through to customer service, he tells me that the hotel we want doesn't accommodate 3 people in the room only 2. I booked a top secret hotel in manchester. The hotel I got seems lovely however when I went on their own website I found I could get the same price for two night stay but with breakfast included. “'Forgot' to process my order, then lied to me about it!”

Booked hotel for 2 nights through lastminute.com price was £261 for the two nights room only. Phoned hotel to add in breakfast and was £10 extra per person per day making toatal cost £301. Price direct through hotel wss £215 including breakfast!!! Cost of booking a special offer 'secret location' hotel was the same as walking in off the street and the wrong type of room was booked by last minute incurring an extra cost. The so called customer care team choose not to understand English when confronted with their own contradictory statements. They then do not follow up on promises made to reply to calls and provide refunds for the extra cost of the room as promised. “Poor customer service - extremely unhelpful”

The customer service team is awful! Any queries we have had have either been unanswered, given a stock response as if from a machine or totally incorrect! Extremely poor! An example: what is the hand luggage for my Philippine airlines flight to Brisbane? 7 to 10 kg. Is that 7 or 10? 7 to 10 kg well which? somewhere in between? 7 to 10 kg. I would not have believed I could have so much trouble booking a hotel room. But Lastminute.com cost me virtually the whole day to try and put right their mistake. Finally got confirmation email but it has no details of what is booked only that I have to pay extra when I check in.
Luckily for me I have already confirmed with the hotel and I'll probably check again before I head off to check in.

My hitch with Lastminute is that it tries to do everything, therefore does not get something done any one thing exceptionally well. For example, I know of better web pages for hotel deals.

the only issue i had was when i wanted to get the booking as the site always told me, at the end, after i entered all info, that there has been an error on the page. I tried a few times until I succeeded. After this all was wonderful, had absolutely no issues. “OVERPRICED SECRET HOTELS”

I booked a secret hotel with last minute.com for £199 which was apparently a discount of up to 31%. Upon contacting the hotel I was informed that the same room was available at £136 had I booked direct with them. Tried to call last minute.com twice and was hung up both times.
