I tried to get in contact with lastminute.com after a booking mistake on their website and they say they will reply wiythin 48 hrs, but i never heard back. We still travellled on the tickets even f it wasn*t the dates we actually had booked. We had some problems during the trip and asked if we could change the dates (we had checked with the airline company and it would have been OK to upgrade to another class and change the dates for a fee of 95 USD) but they insisted it was completely... We booked through lastminute.com for our 1st wedding anniversary in London. We were going to go for a Premiere Inn where you know the good quality however we saw a secret hotel option. A 4 Star hotel near Hyde Park for £109.65, the price should be lower than normal because they can't publicise the named hotel offering low deals. True it was a gamble but it should be a 4 star hotel. Booked what last minute.com classed as a 4plus hotel in torremolinus, wouldn't even give this hotel a 2* rating. Rooms dated back to 70s, nothing like what they advertised. Two days ago I went online looking for a holiday package to Gibraltar. I found exactly what I was looking for when I typed gibraltar in to the location box. I attempted my book a hotel in Jersey through lastminute.com and at the point of entering my payment details, it wouldn't accept my double-barrelled surname. We recently stayed in a hotel that we had booked through lastminute.com and it turned out to be such an amazing weekend. We had research the hotel on trip advisor before hand so we knew what other people had said about it and it didn't disappoint. The booking process through lastminute.com's website was pretty straight forward and only took a few minutes to complete. I booked a trip from Birmingham to Winnipeg, Canada with them a few days ago. The price was great and I wanted to get it right away so I don't lose it. Next Morning I get an email saying that there has been a schedule change and we now need to pay over £200 per person! My husband and I used last minute.com to book a 5 star hotel for our honey moon weekend. On the website we came across a mystery/secret deal and called up the customer service to ask about it. I was in Reunion Island near Madagascar, and needed to buy my return ticket to England. I had told my bank I would be there and I gave lastminute all the correct info for the ticket which was £580.. We have booked flights to Oslo through lastminute as are visiting friends in Sweden who can pick us up from the airport. The problem is that there is more than one airport in Oslo and we are travelling to the wrong one which is a 5 hour drive from the correct one. When I contacted their customer services I was told tough luck! This is misleading advertising, I have ended up paying more by booking through lastminute.com, there are 3 websites with cheaper deals. My experience with Lastminute.com is horrendous, I would advice to keep well clear of this outfit. On a separate occasion a few years ago we stayed at a hotel in Sharm El Sheikh through them, which they labelled as 5 stars, but in reality had cockroaches all over the place, awful food and cockroach ignoring staff (we pointed one out on the wall in the hotel restaurant to a waiter, who just walked off), I AM NEVER BOOKING WITH THEM AGAIN!

I needed to reschedule my flight from Dublin to New York when my family, with whom I planned to stay, became homeless due to Hurricane Sandy. I cannot praise the team at 'Last Minute' enough; they were so understanding and willing to get me the best deal under the circumstances. I have used them twice now and on both occations the pictures and ratings of the Hotels has been wrong. I booked a All inclusive 4 star holiday in Turkey and paid well over £400 but when arriving at the Hotel, I was horrified by the quality. Ridiculous service, cheap price, but once you book it and if they don't like something they just cancel your booking and to get your money back you have to wait 10 days!! We got onto the agent but he said transaction hadn't been completed and money would be returned in up to ten days. Transaction was completed our end because they too the money. I totally agree with the above review. I also booked in the Secret Hotels offer as I understood all the hotels would be 4* or 5* but when I booked the hotel it turned out to be a 3* and with the same description as in the above review. Despite countless emails and telephone calls LM will not admit that their advertisement is misleading so I am now reporting them to Trading Standards.

Despite discussing the options in great detail with a customer advisor I have been left with a totally unsuitable hotel which I could have got cheaper elsewhere with full disclosure of details, and no option to cancell or change. Found the site to be easy to navigate and found the perfect holiday in Budapest to celebrate our silver wedding. The only downside was that when booking you had to pay the full amount. This summer I booked a hotel on lastminute. After my stay in the hotel, I was presented with a bill. I said that I thought I'd paid in advance, through lastminute, but the hotel insisted that no payment had been made and that it was normal procedure not to charge until departure. Try to change a return flight date and was told I could only return on a Monday thru Thursday because I booked my flight on a Monday. Seriously??? Not to mention the accent was so strong I could only hear every other word. I will never use a third party website again.
