“Never Again...”

Used lastminute.com to book a flight from Toronto to New York. Where with any other agent you'd get an immediate confirmation, lastminute.com just email stating "thanks for your request" An hour after my booking I get 2 missed calls and an unintelligible voicemail. On calling back 3 hours after my booking, I find the flight is not confirmed! Update...

16 hours after my initial booking, still nothing!
Called again and told to wait longer! I asked to cancel which the operator said was OK, although the last operator said "you can cancel, but my get charged for cancellation" yet they'd not booked anything!
Yet to receive cancellation confirmation, but gone direct to airline, booked my flight and a cheaper price!

I've had a very similar situation. Have been told I can cancel my flights but the person I am travelling with is unable to cancel theirs and I can't cancel the hotel, so altogether we will have lost a lot of money. The only solution offered has been paying £200 on top of the original costs for a new flight.

After noticing a spelling mistake (I could not tell to this day wether the fault was mine or the provider's) on my last name a few days after buying a flight from Lastminute.com, I attempted to have it changed to the correct name. They refused categorically, which meant that I had to get a refund... a very partial refund, that is. Booked online, paid the price, e-mailed me to say 25% increase in price. Agreed to pay and tried to pay, but apart from not being able to understand the sales person i was informed they would be in touch. “A hopeless mess of a cancellation process”

I booked a hire car with LastMinute in Jan 2016. When the confirmation arrived in my inbox, I noted that I'd need a credit card to pick up the hire car - not something I'd been told until then. The service I received from lastminute.com was absolutely shocking. I was given less than 24 hours notice for a cancellation,(of a theatre show) when the agent called I asked him to book me into another date, he said he would call me back to let me know what was happening. “Once you've paid, forget any customer service”

Awfulexperience with Lastminute.com - never use them. We booked flights only to Orlando in Nov 2014. We were then emailed up to 6 times saying flight times had been changed or flights cancelled by Delta (we now don't believe Delta to be cause of this). A week before our holiday, we were told our return flight involved 2 connections, not just the one we'd booked, and there was nothing they could do about it. Booked two flights tickets to go to Vancouver which I unfortunately had to cancel on 17th October 2015. I was told that it will take between 8- 16 weeks before I shall get a partial refund which was fine. “Absolutely Ridiculous. ..DON'T BOOK WITH THEM!!”

This website takes NO responsibility for its advertised star ratings. In our case, we purchased a 4 star holiday thinking it was a good deal, only to arrive and find a 2 star hotel (if that). They had MISREPRESENTED the hotel quality to attract customers. The hotel's own website, as we later discovered, did not give itself a star rating at all. I had something similar I booked a hotel and they never sent me a confirmation email when I turned up there was no booking and I ended up having to pay significantly more as I had no choice. Last minute still took the money ( over 6 thousand dollars) from my credit card and only paid it back over a week later after several phone calls to their India call centre. I still lost money on the return exchange rate and bank charges plus spent half our holiday and hundreds of dollars on the phone to India. They have never responded to any emails. I would NEVER use them again and neither will anyone else I come I contact with

“Never Again - Virtual Flights Sold”

Update: I gave them another try - only because of the really low prices and my money had been returned very quickly. This time, same dates nearly the same timings but KLM/Kenya Airways Flights rather than Emirates. Everything went very smoothly, and within a few seconds of payment, my confirmation /etickets were in my inbox. So on that basis, 5*.
