    Opodo - A slick machine that gets your money first, never replies to either emails or phone calls and imposes substitute itineraries to replace the ones that you thought you were buying from them.

    We were among thousands of travelers recently stranded in Thailand. We asked OPODO for assistance but they claimed that they could do nothing and suggested we contact the airline.
    Contact with the airline, Eva Air, proved to be impossible, they failed to answer our phone calls or email. We were left to find a solution ourselves.
    This is in contrast to many other travelers who informed us that their travel agents had been proactively supporting them since the trouble first started.

    Opodo's website for booking airline tickets (as linked to the BHX website) is not as secure as they claim. I was double debited for 2 tickets on 13th and 14th June 2007 and it was not until October 4th 2007, nearly 4 months later, that my money was returned. There was no compensation and as far as I am aware I only received an apology after they were prompted. I feel I had to do all the work to get this potential situation rectified.     I would not recommend this company as you can never be sure that your booking is confirmed. Furthermore, if you do run into problems I found the call centre staff are both incompetent and unhelpful.

    Once this company has your money they very quickly lose interest.
    The quality of service at best, is basic, at worst, rock bottom compared with companies I have used in the past.

    After my experience with "Opodo" I would never use them again and could not recommend them to anyone.

    AVOID OPODO!!! The service is the worst I've seen for any travel website. It seems like they do the anti-customer service job.

    I got a flight at a premium for no extra value from Opodo why? Am I subsidizing their profits? Do they care?

    I think the Opodo website is a pleasure to search on, it looks good and you can find what you want quite easily. I have never had any problems with them and would recomment them if you want a trip that hasn't got to be too low-budget.

    Booked lots with Opodo - shop around for prices but opodo were very helpful when I wanted to change flights a few times.
