WE STAYED IN THE DELPHIN PALACE IN ANTALYA,IT WAS A LOVELY HOTEL AND THE REP WAS VERY NICE,HONEST AND HELPFULL. THE HOTEL STAFF ARE BRILLIANT AND I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL EVEN THOUGH ITS NOT CHEAP IF IT WASNT FOR THE HOTEL I WOULD HAVE BEEN VERY UNHAPPY WITH MY HOLIDAY.WE WERE PUT ONTO A BUS AND LEFT WITHOUT A REP TO CHECK IN OR BEING TOLD ABOUT THE ORDER OF THE HOTEL DROP OFFS. One of the first holidays I have been on where the brochure/online pictures and information actually matched up to what you actually see and get when you get there! We bought a package to Istanbul where we were suppose to stay in a four stars hotel that felt more like a cheap hostel, the place wasn't clean at all and with wires hanging out from the ceiling it felt like a place where a disaster is awaiting to happen. First Choice! what happened to this company? I thought such a big name company would be able to answer a couple of questions without getting stroppy. After all i was willing to spend a lot of money with these people but after a 10 minute argument over a simple question NO THANKYOU. Although our hotel destination was top notch not the same can be said for our upgraded to premium seats/long haul flights outward and homeward. On both the seats were most uncomfortable and homeward bound the entertainment monitors broke down completely, the only comment from an air steward being 'the same thing happened ten days ago!' We rang the 24/7 hotline and thanks to the the gentleman who called us back in our hotel room, we were given new bedding and 4 small bottles of water! Very boring 5 1/2 hour flight with absolutely no in flight entertainment . We had booked a Nile cruise on the Orchid and were on the coach on route before being told we had been moved to the Jasmine. The Orchid has been mothballed for months but First Choice are still taking bookings for it. Flight home 5 hours 55 mins no in flight entertainment. The locals have learned to hitch onto cruise boats whilst sailing and so we even got hassled then. Give it a miss (read more)
