    Good Points: The good points about this phone were, it can phone and text


    Bad Points: Boring, had a small camera and it only had midi's but its OK for the price.


    General comments: I got the NEC e101 and about 6 months later the antenna broke and I could not get a signal. Then the phone snapped (my fault) because I left it open in my pocket, while on the phone and trying to get something. But apart form that it is a very good reasonable priced mobile. I would mainly advise this phone to business people as other people would find it very boring because it is so simple.

    This NEC e101 is a small clam shell shaped phone but you need good eyesight to read the writing. Apart from that, being a fairly basic phone, I've had no problems whatsoever with it over the past eighteen months and have only just decided to upgrade to a Samsung D600.

    I had a problem with unlocking this phone but finally found someone in a forum who kindly helped me out. Forums are a great place to get help if you need it.

    This phone is great, and the picture quality is good.

    The camera has differrent functions which decide how big you want the photo to be, and you can mess around with it and turn your picture upside down!

    I am very impressed with the tones, they sound really special and realistic, they are just fantastic! It is really easy to type messages on this phone, the alarm is good, because you can set 4 alarms to go off at different times, on different days, at the same time which is good. You can ...

    NEC e101 - This phone is a pretty good phone but is hardly featured on free ringtone sites. Maybe they should have put better games on it than the two they had.

    In short I would not buy one of these again because even though it looks good and is small enough to put in a pocket it just does not do anything for me at all!, the bit I didn't like was the texting although to be fair it has a very clear speaker on it and the camera is not too bad but I have had better.

    Overall the NEC e101 is a good phone but if you want real quality buy a Sony Ericsson T610 - they're brilliant!
