Good Points: Absolutely awesome gameplay: the storyline sucks you in and doesn't let go anymore. The immersion is total. And it goes on and on...

Bad Points: Some of the graphics, especially the characters in the scenes between the chapters were a bit rough. But hey, the game was released in 2001, so that's to be expected.

General comments: Absolutely Great! Not your ordinary shoot 'em up game. More like an interactive graphic novel. The snowy night in NYC was a good choice for a setting, I think. The slowmotion option and the bullet-dodging moves Max is capable of are quite unique. Even though once played, the story holds no surprises anymore, the game remains playable because of it's immersive atmosphere. Put it away for a couple of months and you just might wanna go back to that hellish stormy winternight. I myself played it three or four times! So you can understand my disappointment that the sequel wasn't released for the Mac.
