Good Points: The first good point about our stay at the Miramonti was that it was just across from the slopes and where you meet for ski school. There was also a handy locker situated in the hotel, even though it was a bit squashed. The Hotel always looked clean though with polite maids. The last good points about our stay there was that the arcade room had some good games and the club next door to it was quite good, but more on that later. These are where the good points end though.

Bad Points: Well to start with, don't choose the Miramonti unless you love having veal for every meal and definitely not if you are a vegetarian. My family and I were vegetarians and even though we had informed the hotel of this before hand, non of the waiters appeared to acknowledge this at all, and as non of them spoke a word of English this was very hard to get over. The first night we were given 2 slabs of cheese for our whole meal and that was it. The second, a plain omelette and mine had pieces of shell in it. The rooms, although always cleaned well, were of a poor standard and definitely not worth 4 stars. The beds felt like they were made of cardboard and you did not even get a duvet (considering it was snowing this was not very pleasant). The walls between each room were also paper thin, and you could always hear people talking from the adjoining room. The staff on the main desk were not friendly at all and did not offer help freely.

On the last night my boyfriend and I decided to go to the corona night that the club was holding next door. Every time you bought a drink you got raffle tickets and a corona toy. With our first drink we were promised that at 2am they would hold the raffle. Seeing as it was the last night we decided to stay and spend the rest of our euros on drinks and when it got to two waited for it to begin. However promptly at 2 they packed up and left saying nothing. We had spent a lot of euros on corona and felt rather cheated but non of the staff offered any help or explanation.

The hotel also had no comfortable lounge to sit in and read etc, so really everyone was stuck in their very uncomfortable rooms. Overall this was really not a hotel suitable for English people and definitely not worth the 4 stars it was given.

General comments: Overall we agreed that the skiing/snowboarding was great fun, but that we would never stay in the Miramonti Hotel in Passo Tonale again and it is not recommended as there are plenty of other nicer looking hotels just a little further down the road.

We stayed in Hotel Miramonti over the New year period. I booked the hotel independently through Thomson, but we booked our own flights and Transfer separately. The initial inspection of the room was a bit of shock, this is no where near a 4 * hotel in terms of room standard. Rooms are dull and very out-dated. they are clean, but small things like the alarm clock having buttons missing, and choosing to go off at random times, and the walls having paper peeling or plaster missing, and the fact tha ...
