it is bagless, but it does have a filter which cloggs with hair or carpet fluff and then doesnt suck. fine dust cloggs the filter and you end up having to clean the filter buy hand which is not pleasant and a pain to have to do it everytime. the instructions say the filter may need to be rinsed now and again but rinsing doesnt work, its design means its very difficult to clean....buy something else. Didnt even own a hoover so when we got a spare £60 we went to buy this one. Other websites posted good reviews about it. Not sure why ? I gave it 3 stars i was a bit generous cos it barely picks up anything esp cat hairs. Not ideal as we got 4 cats! Best thing about it is its very light. Other than that i reckon itwaste of money even at argos 'half price' of £59.99 ! Wouldnt recommend TBH !! (read more)

This vacuum cleaner makes an already unpleasant job even worse. Firstly, the pole length is ridiculously small. I'm not tall but even when I use it I'm in pain afterwards from bending down hoovering. The suction is rubbish, can put it directly on fluff it will not pick it up. It is very noisy sounds like there's a numatic drill in the house!! DO NOT BUY much more worth spending the money on one with a longer hose, longer cord and more power. (read more)

When our reconditioned Dyson died (which we had for 5 years) we needed to find a quick replacement. Having heard good reviews about Hoover in general, we settled on a Hoover Sprint Bagless 1900w, which claimed to be exceptional at removing pet hairs on all surfaces. How wrong we were. Since having this (just over a year) we've found it to be rubbish at removing pet hair from carpet (we only have carpeted floors in our hallway and bedrooms.) Over a week ago, it suddenly stopped working. ... (read more)

Looks like it will fall apart in no time. Fills up really quickly. I was attracted by the sale but I now feel like I have been badly advised by the store assistant. would not have got it if I had more chance to look at it in store.
+: very light
_ : flimsy,brushes attachements too small.

I bought this vacuum cleaner to take on our boat, rugs and hard floors. It was half price in Argos so thought it would be a good buy having owned a brilliant Hoover in the past. I soon realized there was no power variation so when I tried it on mu rugs it was impossible without someone else standing on rug. I never even looked for this option as I have never owned, or used, a vacuum cleaner without this facility. The product info does not state this power control is not there so the... (read more)

PROS: lIGHT TO CARRY. PLENTY OF SUCTION. CAN VACUUM HOUSE IN NO TIME. EASY
TO TAKE OUT CANISTER FOR EMPTYING. SMALL SO EASY TO STORE.
CONS: LOOKS CHEAP AND NASTY. DIFFICULT TO GET SIDES OUT WHEN EMPTYING.
DOES NOT HOLD A GREAT DEAL.
CONCLUSION: SUITS ME. BUT WOULD NOT BE GOOD FOR HEAVY VACUUMING, EG BUILDING DUST ETC.
IF BUYING IN STORE I WOULD NOT HAVE BOUGHT IT BECAUSE IT LOOKS FLIMSY.
BUT MUCH MORE SUCTION THAN I WOULD HAVE EXPECTED FROM ITS LOOKS.
I LIKE IT! BUT WOULD NOT HAVE PAID...

No handle to carry it with. "No Bag" is lies. I have to use bags. Hose and pipes are heavy and awkward to handle in a confined space. Balance or feel is utterly absent because the weight distribution is useless. This machine was designed by a committee who should be fired and replaced by one person who actually uses a vacuum cleaner every day. As there is no hope of that happening DO NOT BUY THIS MACHINE!!!! Had I been allowed to try this machine out BEFORE purchase, I would never have been... (read more)

Our Hoover Sprint "died" just after two years of normal household-use.
It worked fine before that, but
I really think a vacuum cleaner should last more than two years...

What a completely idiotic design. I have a blockage halfway down the pipe (not an uncommon thing with vacuum cleaners) which I find I can't access. In fact, I can't even get the black plastic head off the tube.
Probably designed by a man who's never used a vacuum cleaner in his life.

£50 is a lot of money when the equipment doesn't do what it says on the box! I only bought this to replace my aged Hitachi hoover, which died after 14 years of faithful service. Is it just me or is equipment produced today designed to fall apart/break down far sooner than expected? I would definitely not recommend Hoover products to anyone. (read more)

After our Dyson DC04 broke, we thought it was the end of the world! At the time we couldn't afford to buy another great Dyson, so we turned to a cheaper solution that still promised good results.
The Hoover Sprint looked just like an answer to our problems. Cheap, 200 AirWatts (which is quite powerful) and a reusable bag. Everything about it seemed pretty good.
Straight out of the box, the vacuum did evrything that was promised. After that first operation, though, we immediately started to...

When I first purchased the Hoover Sprint I felt the price was right and it worked great right out of the box, until you emptied the dirt cup for the first time. After that it has been all down hill. The 12 amps was great and it appeared to pick up the dirt I didn't know was in my carpet, including the pet hair. However, if you accidently throw away the filter, good luck finding a replacement one quickly and locally. Next if you don't get the dirt cup on just right or there is a clog... (read more)

'Bagless'? It has a material bag which is a rubbish attempt to gain some money away from dyson, the good inventor of the bagless cyclonic cleaner. Even if you do like the idea of not having to replace the bag, that bag is hard to empty, bad for allergy sufferers and clogs.
