I drive a mixture of motorway and twisty country roads. I don't hang about and enjoy an active drive. Continental ContiSport are the best tyres I've used and i'm on my second lot. Yes, they have only lasted 10 months/12000 but they've got me safely home in some terrible weather conditions, stop the car when I ask them to quickly and don't leave me sliding across a wet road on a tight bend.

Car has only done 12,000 miles from new and both front tyres are down to limits. This is not good as I careful women driver.

Having Covered at Least 2,5000,000m Miles in Ford Cars using other makes these Continentals are incredible.
My present Ford Uses 225/50/ZR16 and although wear is lower than others the Road Grip and wet performance is second to no other.

Well where do I start? These Continental ContiSport Contact 2 tyres have caused so many problems it's unreal. These tyres were fitted to the Transit Sportvan's as standard and we are in a dispute with Ford at the moment for fitting them as standard to these vans. They have premature tyre wear like you wouldn't believe, , I did well to get 8,000 miles. The average of the vans were only getting 5,000 miles, not good.

The Continental ContiSport Contact 2 are quiet and good grip when new, both wet and dry, but very disappointed with poor wear despite frequent pressure and tracking checks, less than 15000 miles on a full set with not tracking faults or damaged sidewalls. Also seem to be a magnet for punctures with over 5 in 12 months.

Fitted 4 225.40.18s to Skoda VRS and fronts lasted around 12000 miles and rears now near limit at 15000.

Fitted the ContiSport Contact 2s on my 02 plate Seat Ibiza cupra 9 months ago. Have done just over 3000 miles and the front tyres need replacing already. Was very impressed with the grip these tyres give but replacing them every 3000 miles is a bit costly if you ask me. So will be looking for tyres that will last a bit longer.

If a tyre wears unevenly, then it's the car's fault NOT the tyre's. Also, if you want a grippy tyre, then it will have a soft compound, and soft compound tyres wear out quicker than hard compound tyres.
A lot better tyre than the cheaper Toyo/Nankang/Falken range, but you pay handsomely for the priviledge!

These tires were standard on my Seat Leon.
The tires give a very good grip in wet and dry conditions. They react like it should on the steering wheel and the car.
I went on track for some laps and I realised these tires really do the job.
A good tyre with overall very good driving experience. Stable and reliable in all weatherconditions. (dry, rain...).

Not hardwearing and very expensive to replace. Tyres fitted as standard on my Peugeot 207cc. Have done 9,000 miles in approx 15 months, mainly motorway driving. A check has revealed that the INSIDE walls of both front tyres are shredding.

Drive an Astra 2.0 DTi and have got 49,000 miles from one set on the front (mostly motorway miles). Have found the grip both excellent in the dry and the wet. Will be replacing with the same tyre. No problem recommending this tyre to anyone.

Great grip but they wear out so quickly its beyond belief. Normally I need a set of fronts every 3 yrs (I use snow tyres for 4 month of the year, mandatory in swiss), these tyres lasted < 1 yrs, its a joke. So, they are not very environmentally sound because of this and work out hideously expensive.

I recently bought a Mercedes B200 with these tires and I had a freaky almost to be accident (with a very tight curve I didn't see and I was driving pretty fast) and the tires responded perfectly.Worth it ? sure!

205/50/17 Ford Mondeo 02 TDCI estate sport contact 2. Well theres two ways of looking at these tyres, if you like roundabouts or sweeping motorway bends at warp speed you will change fronts at low mileage from wear or sidewall damage but you wont fall off the black stuff in any weather conditions. What do you value life at..? Hard driving in Manchesters (UK) finest conditions I get approx 5k miles from the fronts and the backs are still at 6mm (2 sets of fronts in 10k)... no complaints as the ca ...

Lasted for 19k miles on the rear of my 5 series. Plenty of grip on 275/30 R19 tyres. Fronts are sitting at about 5mm left so expect to get about 35k miles out of them.
Replaced the rears with recomended tyres by BMW.....can see why. Great in the weat and the dry. Car goes like its glued to the road. Have no plans to go away from Conti any time soon.

Going to try them nitrogen filled next time. See what all the fuss is about! Long wearing (I thrash my car, regularly drive at 110+mph and have got over 30K from these), awesome grip (never found the limits thankfully!) and reasonably priced for the performance they offer.

I have an Mitsubishi EVO 8 260 and have been running Bridgestone RE050's for three years now without complaint. I needed some tyres quickly and a local supplier had the Sport Contact's in stock, after a little research I decided that they should be comparable and so replaced all 4 tyres. Within 1 mile I realised it was a big mistake, I could not believe how my sharp handling had gone and my Evo felt like it had been replaced by a mondeo. The main problem with this tyre is the sidewalls, unless t ...

I write from Spain, I live in the center of the country in the mountains so we have here wet springs and dry summers. I change my car, thanks to a Leasing program, each 20,000km so I can test a lot of tyres and sometimes I have two times the same model of car with different tyres. I'm using now a Conti SportContact 2 in size 225/45 - 17 and after some other Contis used before I have again the same feeling with them... Good grip in general but not as good as other brands...
    I have to say that I d ...
