    We booked Super Shuttle service through Travelocity to get us to and from LaGuardia to our hotel in lower Manhatten. We waited over an hour for the Shuttle at the ground transportation desk at La Guardia after being told it would only be a 20-25 minute wait. It took us longer to get to our hotel than it did to fly from Orlnado, Florida to LaGuardia. Needless to say we did not use our return voucher but hired a private car service to take us back to the airport for our return flight. It may be more expensive to hire a private car service but after our experience this past week with Super Shuttle in NYC we will never sign on for this service again.

    I flew in to Newark - hotel in Manhattan. When I got to the airport, it was confusing how to go about contacting the driver..do you call on the courtesy phone or talk to the rude women at the desk (one was too busy on a personal phone call to even acknowledge me)...

    The driver did show up 15 or so minutes later..but she was upset about something..and did not communicate anything to me..I didn't know if I was supposed to follow her..and then she turned around and said "c'mon sweetheart, over he ...

    Very bad service, I booked a roundtrip and it takes me 2.5 hours from JFK to time square, transported like animals, the van was full. Four passengers in every row, driver drive like grazy, shake us all like in an mixer. Pick up at the hotel failt, give them a call and they told me I am to late, that was not true, so they say I give them the wrong adress, even reception of the hotel told them that there was no driver from them.     Super Shuttle? Stupor Shuffle!
    Your mileage may vary, but if your travel situation is similar, be warned.
    Timeline:
    around 4PM - Flight arrived on a Friday at JFK Int'l. Airport
    by 4:30PM - picked up checked bags
    by 4:40PM - used Terminal 4 courtesy phone to call about reservation
    by 4:50PM - the first estimate of van arrival passed
    Was redirected by a driver to sign in with Port Authority of New York
    and New Jersey (never mind I had given my reservation # on the phone,

    First of all the wait at JFK was about hour and 1/2 before super shuttle finally showed up (my flight was on time and not even early) .... then when we finally got in the van we drove around JFK for other passengers for another 45 min.... including the same terminal we came from. This was then followed by another hour and 1/2 drive before we finally got dropped off at the hotel. I spent 4 hours 30 min traveling from the Caribbean to JFK and spent nearly that long before I could get to my hotel. ...

    Long waits both at airport on arrival and then at hotel on way back to airport. Driver into Manhattan was bad but at least he took us to our Hotel, on the return journey we were last on the bus and were just taken to the edge of Arrivals - instead of Departures - and dumped. Took ages to get to the Departures area with our disabled son and heavy bags. Never again. Super Shuttle was booked through (and so we thought recommended by) Expedia.

    We waited 45 minutes for the super shuttle, called 3 times, the Super Shuttle didn't show. Calling the office, we were told that we weren't there, even though we stood right in front of the building for 45 minutes. No other shuttle was available and no compensation for a cab was provided. Not recommended!

    My family had a 7 am Sat 3/21 flight from La Guardia. Dispatch insisted on 3:35 am pick up at our Times Square hotel, then driver arrived 15 min early. Arrived at the airport at 4:05. This was unnecessary - we were 1 to 1 1/2 hours earlier than needed. Airline wasn't even open, no chairs.

    After reading plenty of bad reviews about this shuttle service, I was hesitant to book with them. In the end I decided to give Super Shuttle a try anyway, since, let's face it, people that had bad/horrible experiences are much more motivated to sit down and actually write a review.     never ever ever again! before i went to NYC i was told by colleagues, hey for all the bad reviews on the net there is always gonna be good experiences, so i thought ok i'll give it a go and see what happens!
    well........ after waiting an hour for the shuttle to arrive, the driver stopped for gas! returning to the terminal to pick up a person he FORGOT!! then dropping me and my fiance 3 blocks from our hotel in manhattan..listen please do yourself a favour and take a taxi for a flat fee of $45 ...

    NEVER AGAIN! I arrived at JFK and called SuperShuttle to confirm that I had arrived. I was told that it would be a 45 minute wait. I waited and waited, an hour an a half later, I called them back. I was told that the driver would be there in 10 minutes, I wait another 45 minutes, and called them back. Again, I was told the driver would be there in 10 minutes...after a total of waiting time of THREE hours...they never showed and I had to take a taxi to my destination.

    The shuttle arrived on time to take us to newark, but it took 1hr 15mins to leave manhattan!!, we were picking other people up!! there was so many people on the bus some had luggage on their knee!!! never again, would NOT reccomend it, would rather pay a bit more and get a taxi !!!!

    Used super shuttle from Manhattan to JFK, never again. Overcrowded minibus, white knuckle ride, but worse of all the tirade of abuse hurled by our driver at a taxi driver who we had completely blocked in when dropping off at the airport. I would not recommend, there are plenty of alternatives.

    The driver called at the time I was to be picked up and said he would not be coming. Customer service was non-existent and I had to desperately call around my town for two cabs to get my family to airport in time. They left 2 adult, 4 children, 6 pieces of luggage and 4 carry-ons with no transportation to our flight.

    Booked the trip in advance thinking that this would be quicker when we arrived at the airport - wrong. The other passengers on our flight who did not have a booking were picked up more than 40 minutes before we were. When our driver did eventually arrive some 60 minutes later, he was the most grumpy and unhelpful man you could ever imagine. I would most definitely NOT recommend this service to anyone travelling to Newark airport.

    I would not recommend Super Shuttle. I called on my departure date to arrange pick up. I was on hold for approx 30 mins then the operator hung up on me. After waiting another 30 mins I was informed they could not guarantee pick up time available would be in time for my flight.

    Left my carry on bag on the van when we arrived in New York. Left message for person who looks after lost luggage but didn't receive any call back. Sent an email to the company when I arrvied home but still waiting for reply. Total confusion when we arrived in New York after a very long flight. No pick up and still none after several calls. I had to convince one of their drivers to take us to our hotel and left my carry on on the van in the confusion. Not happy.

    It was the scariest ride of my life! I have been in other New York cabs and nothing compared to this ride. And the shuttle was hot and stuffy. When someone asked the driver to turn up the air conditioning because it was so hot he turned it completely off. I will never use this service again.

    Would not recommend this service. After surviving the ordeal of arriving at our hotel, our hotel porter asked how our journey was, which, we replied was horrendous. He strongly recommended having a black limo taxi, $70 all in, which at $5 dollars less than what we paid for Super Shuttle and had to share with seven others (not included my husband and daughter) was absolutely excellent value.
