General comments: Churn, Twelve Easy Steps To Endsville - Formed back in May of 1999, the aggressive four-piece 'Churn' began creating tracks of powerful guitars, deep, churning bass and thundering, double-kick drumming to accompany the ferocious screaming vocals of singer Robert Kennedy. After a mass of set-backs and constant rescheduling, the group's debut album 'Twelve Easy Steps To Endsville', was finally released in 2001.

Delivering a sound close to hardcore/grindcore with a distinct metal edge, the group have produced twelve tracks of pure aggression done with a tight and proficient ability. The recording and production is top-notch, keeping the overall power and force of the band's onslaught within the recording. With an average track length of just over 2 minutes long, you are blasted with track after track of well-constructed and creative grindcore that descends into an almost 'Pitchshifter' song formation and construction.
All in all, the album is well worth picking up if you enjoy grindcore and the heavier side of rock. The album is powerful and aggressive with an interesting, intelligent and mature approach to the musical style.
The album ends with the 14 minute track "Clinical" that flows into a final ten minutes of bonus live material.
