Good Points: - Location - Clean - Breakfast quality - Room features and size - Friendly staff - beautifully decorated public areas
Bad Points: none
General comments: We stayed in Alpi Hotel at Rome for 4 nights on December 2004. This hotel is really a bargain. It is located 4 minutes by foot from Termini Station, where trains from/to airport and rest of Italy and both Rome's metro lines are crossed. Termini is also the starting point of almost all Rome's bus lines. The area is not the best in Rome but it is quite safe and very convenient for tourists. It was very easy for us to find the hotel. The building is old with tall ceilings but very well maintained and it was very nicely decorated for Christmas. We had a standard double room on the 4th floor. Our room was very clean, spacious and nicely decorated, with a very comfortable bed, color TV, air-conditioning, mini-fridge, safe-box, hair-dryer, balcony and big toilet with douche. Service and cleanness was above standards and staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was really impressive, with several kinds of breads, jams, cakes, caddies, biscuits, eggs, cheeses, hums, fruits, yogurts, juices, coffees, milk, hot chocolate, tea etc. Breakfast room has beautiful colors on walls, soft light and classical music. Public areas (entrance, reception, bar) were also very worm and beautiful. I have stayed in many 3 and 4 star hotels in Europe (London, Paris, Venice, Vienna, etc) but this one really surprise us for all those reasons at a really fantastic price: only 68 € per room per night, breakfast included.
