My son had just got a full time job and decided to buy his dad a 16 inch tv for his Christmas to watch in the kitchen. It lasted 10 months. The colour went green then the picture went to half the size of the screen!!! Argos changed it but we had to upgrade to a 19 inch for another 30 pounds. This has just lasted 17 months . It would not move from standby. We phoned the Argos helpline who were very good but the tv only lasted another 10 minutes before the screen went green and blue then... (read more)

Bought a 19" Bush TV with DVD player. It was only to have in the kitchen to watch the news occasionally while making dinner. I've probably watched it a couple of dozen times. Now it's stuck on stand-by. I can't find my Argos receipt but I think it is just under a year old. Complete rubbish. Total waste of money I can ill afford as I have recently retired. I've given one star grudgingly as it would not let me proceed without putting it in. (read more)

Got my son a 22" bush tv for his bedroom for Christmas. It's now refusing to turn on and the Argos help line were far from helpful. As you can see by the date the tv lasted exactly 1 month and he only watches cartoons for half an hour while getting dressed for school and then he sits and watches films at the weekend on it. I doubt if its had 24 hours use and it's knackered. Total waste of time, money and obviously poor quality. I begrudge giving it 1 star to be honest as its not that good! (read more)

I bought this TV for my young son for Christmas "2011" its just over a year old. The television does not respond to the 0n/off button on the TV or remote, and is stuck in standby mode and is now taking an age to warm up. It does eventually work but i would personally recommend choosing a better make of TV. (read more)

Purchased this T.V as a Christmas Present for my Husband and I am really upset!!! :( Got it home and it looked fab and the set up was really easy, then we sat too watch a Panto with our little Princess and it was a Horrendous experience, as there was a loud Buzzing sound coming from the Television! It was that bad that my poor husband couldn't sleep last night as all he could hear was the Buzzing in his ears :( Very Disappointing, especially as bought with an argos store card but when we... Bought portable dvd for the kids for the car journey on holiday. Its a Bush. Only works for about 20 mins and then freezes. Turning it off and on is no use..... Usually have to leave it a few hours and you get another 20 mins. I was wary about buying bush..... Had many issues with that company over the years..... This tv has multiple failure modes which first appear by not responding to the remote control It will then respond incorrectly to the manual buttons with functions being wrongly assigned Power off becomes channel up. Channel down becomes volume up etc The only way to turn the unit off or on is with the standby button Quite possibly the worst television I have ever seen for this ridiculous failure my friend has another bush tv with the same problem Avoid them at all costs (read more)

Received this TV/DVD combi as a Christmas Present. Straight away I was not overly happy with the sound quality so bought some external speakers which improved the quality no end. Only way to turn the TV off is by unplugging from the mains as the TV only has a standby mode; not ideal in this day and age where we are all trying to save energy. Now only 4 months old the DVD player has packed up and refuses to eject a DVD. I will be ringing Argos tomorrow to hopefully get it fixed. Overall a... (read more)

My bf bought me a 32in bush tv from Argos for Christmas everything was fine until you pulled the plug out, you have to wait an hour before you can turn the tv on again!! Sometimes it doesn't even turn back on, not happy at all, I dunno if it's the company or Argos but a tv should not do that, we can't watch tv for hours cos it won't turn back on! Also when I try to search for channels it tells me there is no connection so every time I turn on the tv I have to wait for it to search, then I... (read more)

I dont have any issue with the BUSH TV/DVD COMBO other than when I record or playback a TV show, the record/stop/play/pause etc symbols that are on the remote are displayed on the bottom half of the TV and I have no idea how to get rid of it. Bought this as a cheap replacement for a panasonic in the argos clearance sale when my house got done over, talk about going from a rolls royce to an austin allegro. Plenty of input points including 3 hdmi ports and even a usb one but selection of which hdmi port to use is done manually by the tv remote. It doesn't like being connected to a sky box of any kind. The problem is for no reason and with no warning the sound goes off and is replaced with a constant whine, if you change channels it... (read more)

I have a 19in HD Ready DTV/dvd model LY1911wcw. It has stopped remembering settings such as favourites every time I put it in standbt mode.
I have done software updates & rescanned chennels.
If I delete a lot of unwanted channels (radio, text etc) it puts them back after standby or off.
Bush is now owned by Argos but I cannot find any support line/site for Bush products.
Rubbish support will eventually result in no sales.

Whenever I try to watch a DVD the screen constantly goes a pink colour and throughout the film I lose the picture roughly every 3 minutes and I also lose the sound.
