Bought bush tv 18months ago. Broke down. Took back to argos and quoted "Article 5 of the EU Product Warranty Directive (1999/44/EC)" which states "A 2year guarantee applies for the sale of all consumer goods everywhere in the EU"
Argos gave me the full £300 that I paid for the tv. Well done Argos!- Read Guest's review (52 words)

I bought a 32" bush lcd tv & dvd player 2 & half years ago. The dvd player was binned before the first year was up now thats the tv gone. For the last year i've had problems with the picture it goes green & you have to switch it off at the plug to get the picture back now it doesn't have any picture or sound. Complaining got me nowhere. I'll never buy a bush again.- Read Guest's review (72 words)

I'm not going to mess about with it I'll get another Toshiba.- Read Guest's review (56 words)

Had the same problem, Bush tv was fine for first 18 months then suddenly no picture or sound. Was told nothing they could do as out of warrenty. Phoned Citizens advice and they said you should get at least 6 years out of tv and that it could not have been fit for purchase. Obtained an engineers report for £30 and was given a full refund. Plus they'd reduced the TV so got an exchange and rest in vouchers. Don't get sucked in!- Read Guest's review (81 words)

The TV was fine for a while. We bought 32 inch LCD Bush TV in september 2007 and everything has seemed fine until one evening when it just suddenly went off. We tried turning it on but it just stayed on stand buy and no picture nor sound comes on. We then called the help line but were told to contact a local repairer as the waranty period was over. It is such as waste of money as the tv is less than 2 years old. I would not recomend a bush TV. Not worth it.

I aquired a Bush LCD television last year and for the first 9 months everything was great, but now it has this nasty habbit of creating vertical lines of colour down the screen and the only way to sort them out is to switch the thing off and then back on. Unfortunately the on/off manoeuvre is only a temporary fix because within a few minutes it does it again and again, and again..... Frustrated i had an engineer take it away and he found nothing wrong with it, which was odd because 24 hours afte ...- Read everyangel's review (151 words)

Reading these reviews makes me wish I had done so before we bought our Bush TV. We have had the same problems as everyone else. The screen went black and the sound still worked when it was 13 months old. We paid £100 to have the power invertor replaced. It has now gone altogether and we can't switch the set on at all - 10 months after the last fault. The only positive reading this tonight is that we will not bother paying to get it repaired as we will be throwing money down the drain.S ...- Read Guest's review (114 words)

Bought a Bush LCDS20TV006 July 2006. It has had problems with pink screen or little blocks across the screen instead of picture but is usually rectified by switching off then on again. Recently the screen went black although there was sound - in effect a 20 inch radio. Saw other reviews and checked my rights online (gmtv/which/trade descriptions) an lcd should last @6years but can claim repair/replacement if it is poor quality product in reference to durabilty. Sent copy of rights & reviews to ...- Read Basil1's review (117 words)

I bought an 32" Bush LCD HD ready tv from argos about 10 months ago and have always thought it wasn't the best. But now im having more and more problems with it. First off id like to mention that there is no on/off switch. you can leave it on stand-by but cannot actually turn it off unless you do it at the wall. Secondly the Digital TV seems to always die every 2 month which means i have to re-tune. Sometimes i cannot even get it to auto-tune at all. Thirdly i keep getting random pink screens al ...- Read samus123's review (185 words)

Anyone with a problem with Bush LCD TV, should contact Consumer Direct, under the Sale of Goods Act 1979 an item should be of satisfactory quality, it is not satifactory for a TV of this standard to last 20 months, it prooves that the componants are not durable, that is a manufacturing issue.
I would ask anyone who has had this problem to contact Watchdog, through the BBC website, I have already done so, the more of us that contact them, they will follow it up.
Argos, as a trader seem to be the ...- Read ellygant's review (127 words)
