    Good Points: Good-looking TV set, but then French are supposed to be good-looking.


    Bad Points: Highly unreliable, leaing their loyal consumers stranded.


    General comments: Thomson TV came to India, sold some expensive TV sets, and then they walked out of India. In the pocess, they have left in the lurch many consumers who paid through the nose to own the highly-famed Thomson products. Who will answer to these consumers now? Someone should. Maybe the French President Sarkozy, since Thomson is/was a French company. The question is will the French stand up and be counted? if on the Thomson issue they don't, then the fate of other French companies/products in india may be bleak.

    Thomson TV has packed up after 4yrs. They've shutdown TV sales operations in Europe so the extended guarantee appears worthless - great! What a waste of space and money this outfir is. DO NOT BUY a Thomson item - no service back-up at all

    Its getting repaired freqently by a tv mechanic, now i want to exchange it for new one of any company, is there any way, please suggest.

    A fault with my Thomson TV developed in the first year. The whole system shut down, which meant that you couldn't switch it on. Now, 3 years later, a similar fault has developed. This TV cost me nearly £500 and now I will probably have to scrap it!

    In this day and age, you expect a longer run than 3 years without experiencing problems. Because the price of these have come down so much, it is probably cheaper to replace with another make, rather than repairing it.
