    Good Points: Best picture on earth (10/10)


    Bad Points: Weak, unacceptable low quality components (Power flyback ) (2/10)


    General comments: Very impressed by the overall picture quality, especially on HD and adventure movies or HD Discovery Nature movies.

    Sad impression left from Loewe services and their distributors. Complex system aimed at not covering their waranties I suppose.

    Too bad, would have purchased a dozen Aconda sets for my Multimedia Company.

    How can so expensive and high-tech a machine simply die on you? I had a Thorn TV set (costing a fraction of this one) which lasted me for 20 years without a hitch of any kind. Ive just emailed Loewe customer support. So far got an automated response telling me that they will be in touch over the next few days. There is a link telling me to find my closest Loewe retailer. It doesnt work. The dealer I bought the set from has been taken over by another dealer who is less than sympathetic to the ide ...

    Bought very expensive TV - one week after warranty run out TV died - so far its been SIX months since first contacting Loewe - have written 12 emails and tried to call all to no avail!

    My dealer has bent over backwards to help me and footed the bill when Loewe were being less than reasonable. Generally speaking my experience of Loewe equipment has been appalling. I am currently faced with a further repair to my sound system, which will be expensive with no expectation of a lasting solution. The failing sound system repair is always affected by replacement of the same card, but it seems little consideration is given as to why the same card fails each time. I am faced with d ...

    This set is almost perfect as a TV. Unfortunately having paid about £200 extra to get the in-built recorder, I was more than peeved when it didn't work properly. It has been back to the engineer twice, but it is still unsatisfactory. Loewe pass the buck to the retailer who is unable to effect repairs, as the software appears to be bugged.
