Fantastic all-rounder. If I was to have one car this would be it. It is our second Discovery 3 SE and they have been exceptional. Service is great, equipment levels are very high and build quality surpasses the norm.

Fantastic, reassuring drive in any conditions including very deep snow drifts this year in Scotland - nae bother!
My TDV6S is coming up to 4 years old and 42K miles, apart from the cruise control being a touch temperamental at times the only repair I've needed to do was to change the fuse for the washer jets motor twice due to frozen water in the washer bottle. Absolutely nothing else has gone wrong.

Landrover, how about fitting some trace heating to the washer jet lines and reservoir under t ...

This is a good family car which we use to pull our heavy boats around the country with.

Bought new. Has done 6 months work, Average 1000 klm / week. Suspension failed 3 times, AA called out cause im tired of switching off to clear alarm. Odometer / mileage trip / gear display washed out. No radio signal on commercial and no aerial fitted at sale. Drivers seat base (replaced once already) keeps sinking.
"a" brackets, piece of exterior plastic on side of windscreen broke off as a truck passed me, the pressure wave was enough to break the clips?! Electric handbrake rattled loose, fron ...

We have had our Land Rover Discovery 3 S for over two years now. The only fault has been a blown fuse. It has done 30,000 trouble free miles and we have very much enjoyed owning it. We will be buying another.

Too many bad points to mention, I had an '04 which went wrong on average twice a week for 6 months, then 'upgraded' to an '05 which started to go wrong after 3 weeks' ownership. As the 3 year warranty was about to expire, I replaced it with a 7 seater Toyota Verso (thank goodness). I have never had such an unreliable car in my life as the Discovery 3 and feel What Car? et al should be sued for recommending such an electronically glitch filled car.
    Don't waste your money.

The Land Rover Discovery has lots of power and good space for luggage and pets and is also good for off road.

Compared to the lacklustre efforts Land Rover have been churning out, the Discovery 3 2.7 Diesel is a breath of fresh air. Although it's hard to ignore the ultra modern yet iconistic shape of the Disco, the main gains in the 3rd generation are in terms of build quality.
No longer appearing to be thrown together from bits of old Morris Marina, this vehicle is all-new, and it shows. BMW-like materials are used throughout, everything you touch feels either hewn from solid granite, or crafted by a ...

Had this Land Rover Discovery for two years of hell! The dealers will not take it back even when it was taken off the road by them as the car could catch fire while driving (broken pipe). During the last 2 years this car has broken down 6 times and had around 22 repairs. The car has 67k on it now, so take it from me, I know this car well by now! As for second hand value - £15k. The work Land Rover has done to it alone would have cost around £6k, plus the 7 weeks or so it has been bac ...

You have to have a good level of service to go along with a vehicle with this sort of price tag, and my Landrover dealer most definately do. Top marks to Pentland Landrover.Fantastic to drive. Worlds apart from the previous discovery's. Can't wait for the winter in Scotland this year to really see what it is made of.

Had My Land Rover Discovery 3 2.7 Diesel for 2 months now, it just keeps getting better!

Had a lot of snow up in Scotland recently and the Discovery was superb on all surfaces including sheet ice, it gives you real confidence to be able to drive through/over 5 foot snow drifts with ease ! If you are thinking of buying one, dont hesitate, it will be the best decision you make.

The Land Rover Discovery, a magnificent piece of engineering. Never driven a car so versatile in my driving life. Load carrier, Family shuttle (including a child with disabilities) and can perform with ease in the mud or motorway. Incredibly smooth and assured drive and by far top of the 4X4 table.

I had a blue Discovery 3 while my TD5 was having a new engine fitted. and I have to say... wow! The discovery 3 is a great car! I have driven some cars, but this is the best car I have ever driven. The air suspension is so nice. I didn't like the shape at first, but I love it now. I'm either going to get one of these, or a Range Rover when I next change my car!

After looking for a high specification 4x4 for the family, we decided on the Land Rover Discovery 3. It does look very nice, but is really impressive when on and off the road. It really does go anywhere. The off road terrain tracking system and the alpine roof swung us to the HSE, which was the most economic choice considering what we wanted. I have never driven an automatic before, and was not keen, but the 6 speed box is very smooth, and we opted for the V6 diesel which wafts along without any ...

My parents have just bought a new Disco 3 (discovery 3) top of the range I went to deal with the paper work with them and to bring the vehicle back to sum up the car in one word WOW. I've driven some nice vehicles myself but this is far superior to anything else. My parents purchased the car for a tow vehicle for their caravan outings on the weekends I tried it towing, once again Wow everthing is in the right place driving the beast is a real delight and very easy even though the size of it.

The Discovery 3 2.7 Diesel has to be one of the best Land Rover have made. I used to have a TD5 and this is far superior to that model. The build is perfect and the 6 speed gearbox is very firm. The automatic air system lifts the car and lowers the car automatically for road conditions. The new engine is really powerful. It sounds like a lions roar when it starts and on acceleration it just flys. For a car of this size it is superb. The new split tailgate makes it much easier access at the rear ...
