Good Points: seem to show good shops
Bad Points: when we actually had problems with a shop listed on there they were no help at all!
General comments: I am wondering if the first person who wrote the review on this has actually encountered any problems and therefore needed their help? i used a company called simply3g which was listed on their site. the company has failed to reimburse me any of the money it said it would do if i stuck with the terms and conditions (which they have never argued i have). it says that although shop safe has no legal standing they are willing to talk to the company listed on their site as they are so well vetted by them (umm). so i sent an email explaining that i had spoken with simply3g who had given me no come back and asked them to help. as yet, 2 weeks later, i have heard nothing but noticed that they pulled simply3g from their listings, so have asked if they know what is going on and able to help me... no response... so the site is a nice idea and looks good but don't seem to want to actually help when they need to...

Shopsafe claims to have checked all the sites it lists. However, it's hard to find out what criteria they use. I recently reported to them that one of the sites they listed had NO security at all on its registration and login pages, so the data you enter (ID, password, name, address, email address, phone number etc.) was not protected at all. Their response was
"The page where you enter your credit card details is secure."
This, I personally think, is a bit like saying "I locked the win ...

Shopsafe is a shoping directory listing the secure uk online shops. All of the shops listed have been checked by them and if you have a problem buying online from one of the shops listed they can help you to sort it out.
