Good Points: The smell. The price. The packaging. The promises on the bottle. The way it moisturises your skin
Bad Points: None to write home about.
General comments: I was looking for a good moisturiser to complement my pre holiday preparations. Time is running out if I want a smooth, dimple free beach bod. Well, to be honest, time probably ran out around 20 years ago.......but we make the most of what we've got.
I purchased Garnier Body Tonic at my local Boots store. It was 'on special' at £1.99 for 250ml. The usual price is £3.99. So that's a good saving of £2. The bottle is a good summery yellow colour with a white flip cap. It has all sorts of yummy ingredients like grapefruit, kiwi and apple. [pity it doesn't count towards our 5 a day!]. It also contains caffeine for some strange reason.
It promises that if you apply it daily it helps to refine and tone your body's contours in just 7 days as it has special firming agents. All that and a great moisturiser. What clinched the deal for me is the smell. It's fresh and fruity without any chemical undertones. It has a light fragrance which reminds you of holidays. It smells clean, which is a strange thing to say, but it does. The lotion goes on brilliantly. So easy to rub in. My skin was left with a nice healthy looking sheen [which will look great with the tan I plan to get]. It felt as if I had just given my skin a drink! The lotion was slightly tacky for a few minutes after rubbing it in, but definitely not greasy.
I can't say whether it will firm me up in the next 7 weeks. I can say that it's a great moisturiser and the smell is to die for. It's worth the money just for that alone!
