    Good Points: The new owner is a friendly person but in my opinion has taken on too much.


    Bad Points: Room was old tatty and mouldy around the bath, very off putting and not worth the £40.00 per night. The menu was very limited and the quality of the food, not what you would expect from a hotel more like a side street cafe.


    General comments: I have gone to the Dartmoor Lodge for 15 years now and stayed there for 50-60 days per year as i go horse racing in Devon on a regular basis the lodge is the ideal base. It has gone down in quality slowly in time under the last owners but because i am a good customer i must admit i have always been well looked after but my last visit at the end of August this year was under the new ownership so i was hoping that it might have turned the corner but to be honest i was very very disapointed enough to say that i will not return.
