Just returned from nando's in Milton Keynes Hub. The food was ok, but expensive for what it was. The place was poorly lit, and had all the ambience of a 1960's working mans club. I don't think the tables had been wiped over in days and the upholsetry looked like it came out of a 20 year old london bus. Certainly no somewhere i shall be going again in a hurry ! (read more)

I love eating at nandos, the food is always consistently good, prices are OK, the drinks are bottomless and you can really get STUCK IN lunch or dinner. its also healthy (if you avoid the chips etc). My only draw back is that its ALWAYS loud and noisy. I never understood why. its just one of those restaurants even when its not busy you just seem to have a heaving noise. what i lke? abundance of sauces, bottmless drinks and their salad mouths watering as I type. Words can't describe Nando's, and to be honest if you don't like spicy then just order the plain! I would so recommend it to everybody because you can choose how spicy you want, get you soft drinks whenever you like and also the service I think is great but I think it depends on where you go because the Nando's in Bedford is not at all good and that is the one I'm closest too but I prefer the one in Milton Keynes sometimes you have to wait a while for a seat but it's worth the wait and the... I go 2 to 3 times a week, it's good value for money, healthy and yummy! I also buy their sauces and make chicken and spicy chicken salads at home with the peri peri sauce. I usually go to the Nandos restaurant in Maid stone (couple times a month!) but I was visiting a friend and tried the Coventry City Center Nandos restaurant. Went to Nandos in Maidstone with Friends as I was told it was a good place to eat. Staff was friendly and the place was really nice. The problem was the food, We ordered chicken with chips, First it came very late, wasnt worth the wait because it was dry and on top of that it was very expensive for just chicken and chips. Avoid the sauce on the table at all cost, it is very spicy and awful. Would not go to nandos again. 3 star (read more)

Apalling service at Nandos Tokai near Blue Route. NOT served with a smile, in fact the kitchen hands all had big fat lips. Obviously all is not happy in chicken land. They took nearly 25 minutes to deliver a starter portion of mild chicken livers, minus a roll (my request) despite continual appeals from me to speed things up a bit. Firstly the lady at the counter is terrible with customers. Secondly we ordered two lots of chicken and we asked for mild and it was so hot we couldn't eat it and the chips were old and cold. I told them up at the counter only to be told that (the standard answer)...we never get any complaints about the chicken. I love Nando's chain and quite often have lunch at Canary Wharf. But Nando's in Richmond is a different story. The service is good but you feel a bit country side attitude. The staff just don't understand simple questions about the menu or maybe just pretend. Their speciality - grilled chicken was wet and not grilled at all. Such a shame. Just avoid this place. I recently visited the new Market Square Nandos in Nottingham. I wish I hadn't... I was seated quickly and politely, to the staff's credit, however that was the only positive in my visit. Firstly, the toilet's taps had no water pressure at all, the signs on the toilets were just confusing. I then ordered my food - the prices have increased and they wouldn't accept my loyalty card, which entitled me to a free whole chicken. I've never had a bad meal at Nando's, they just do great things with chicken. The restaurants have a nice atmosphere and the staff always seem friendly enough. It just misses out on 5 stars for me because I think the tables are crammed in a bit too tight, it's a little overpriced and I don't like having to queue to order - especially at those prices. I was just at Nando's over the weekend there and I must say that I love the place. We were slightly influenced by Nicola Adams (the female boxer) who said she was going to hit (not literally) Nando's after winning Gold and I can see why she loves it so much. No it also has the Olympic seal of approval I didn't hesitate to grab a whole chicken to myself. Yeap, it took a while - but ohhhh, it was worth it. Yum. Things I don't like? I absolutely love Nandos. I usually go to the one in Bromley or Beckenham. The staff are much more pleasant in the one in Beckenham, so friendly and really go out there way for you, although the one in Bromley the staff are still nice enough. I visited Nando in Cardiff city centre with a teenager. I accidentally ordered the wrong meal for the teen, which ended up in the teen having a major sulk, refusing to eat the food ordered and refusing the kind offer of changing it for the correct meal. Is it me, or are the chip portions getting smaller, and the prices getting bigger? I have visited a number of Nando's over the years, and can't help feeling increasingly short changed. It no longer seems like I'm getting my moneys worth. The other week, I visited the Uxbridge branch, and with my meal, I ordered a side of peri peri chips. You need accept the fact that you are going to get messy at Nando's. There's no way of eating their chicken and keeping your hands clean, but there are things that they could improve on that are within their control. The obvious one is the spice levels. I actually like spice, but at Nando they seem to go from no spice (plain and boring) to very very spicy with nothing in the middle. I was disgusted by the kids menu the amount they were served was terrible it was more like leftovers. It was burnt and so dry my pet dogs would turn their noses up at it. The fizzy drinks were another big let down I have no idea what was in them but it sure as hell was not coca cola. When I buy a normal bottle of coca cola they do not react as they did when they had the coca cola from Nando's!! No, i didn't realise that. That's the first (and last) time I have gone to Nandoo's. That's even worse then, as someone should have explained how it worked when they got us sitted... How did they expect me to know that while every other restauran has waiters taking your orders at the tables. I am not a wizzard!

We visited Nandos for a family meal expecting it to be cheerful and reasonably cheap. The staff were friendly and although the quality of the food was reasonable - the chicken being very nice we though that it was prohibitively expensive for tea out and that the portions - escpecially the two chicken breasts and Fino side dish was disappointing. Service was good and the food as always was great. The only negative was that the portions seem to have gotten smaller. We eat at Nandos a lot and noticed the chips/olives/rice were all MUCH smaller. Also had to sit and watch someone clear up dirty plates and left over food into a box next to our table which was then left until it was full then taken away then filled up with left over food again!
