HOW EMBARRASSING So being 36 weeks pregnant and knowing that I would need to be clean shaven "down there" for my cesarean I decided to try my hair removal options and bought the Veet "Easy-Grip-Ready-To-Use" Wax Strips. I figured if I could combine this method with shaving, I wouldn't have to worry so much about regrowth once baby was born. So I boldly went where many unfortunate people have gone before me. I positioned a mirror in front of a chair and placed myself and my huge belly... (read more)

I just used this 10 minutes ago, after buying it today, and I am SO mad!!! I have used wax strips before and I KNOW how to use them. I used these after paying almost TWENTY dollars for them, and there is NOT ONE PART of my leg that is hair free! It took 10 strips to do not even half of one of my shins! There are little hairs EVERYWHERE, and I know that my hair was longer than 1.5 mm when I used it. I am so angry, I am asking for refund tomorrow. Plus there are NOT enough of those perfect... The almond oil wax strips I have been using for a while now. They do get a lot of the hairs for sure, but sometimes the leave red strips where I waxed on my face for like two days !! The strips smell really good, and if technique is right they work well, but irritation afterwards can be rough. You really can't rub them for too long cuz the wax warms really easily, easier than other brands and that can really red-den up your face. Overall they do work well, but I will stick to nair strips.... (read more)

I decided to try waxing since my legs are very sensitive to shaving but I found these strips absolutely awful. I took the plunge after finding them half price at tesco, but even at this price they won't worth it. The pain wasn't a problem- it's just that they don't pick up any hair. Buying and using this product was a complete waste of time and money, neither of which I have a lot of. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT. (read more)

Love them! They work like charm, they remove between 99.9% - 90% of the hair depending on its length... I'm glad most of the commentators on here stated that it is their first time use... so it is surely incorrect use of them! I normally leave them for 20 seconds on the heater until they melt SLIGHTLY... and then place on my skin, rub with my hands strongly for 5-10 seconds and then pull very quickly to the opposite side... Never bought any waxing items before so thought I'd give these a go. Braced myself for pain as I pulled off my top lip...a lollipop would remove more hair; it pulled off absoloutely nothing. The wax strips seemed like a good idea at the time, I wanted to wax my legs so they would be smooth for summer. It takes such a long time try and wax legs so I thought these would help. The wax strips remove about half the hair, leaving patches. The next day I looked at my legs, I had bumps everywhere, even the hairs that were not removed were all bumpy and red. Three days later I still had some bumps and redness left. The only part I liked about the product were the finishing wipes, they... (read more)

So the first strip I used worked okay-ish. The wax strips took off hair, yes. But only in patches. I tried them on my legs and the only place they would sort of work was my calves. Also tried on my bikini area and some hair was removed, definitely not enough. Barely any, actually. Then I tried my armpits and yet again SOME hair came off but not all. Not even half. For me, the strips did work somewhat, but I have yet to find a wax product that completely removes all of the hair from the area. My main problem was with the wipes that come in the box. For one thing, there are only 4. Now, if you use a LOT of the strips at once, you could get away with only that many wipes...IF THEY ACTUALLY WORKED! This product is very sticky, and the wipes are meant to remove excess wax left over. But even using multiple wipes after using ONE strip didn't get all the wax... (read more)

for best result when waxing skin should be oil free, of natural skin oil...its a good idea to buy hive pre wax treatment which removes any oil or products from the area to be waxed. Also use baby powder to prevent the wax from sticking to your skin. Always make sure you apply the strips in the direction of the hair growth and pull in the opposite direction. (up for lower legs)

I mean this product is definitely usable, and is able to remove major part of hair. And the fact that the strips come pre-waxed is an advantage. I have sensitive skin, so when I used this on my legs, I got big red bumps on my hair. The prewax spray doesn't really work, but I like the after-wax wipes that clean your skin of any stickiness.
However, I think I like the traditional microwavable wax better, since the amount of wax strips are not limited, and I can use as much or as little as...

In the end I was left with sticky, gooey wax and had to use all of the wipes to get it off. This stuff is awful!
I used it for my bikini line and followed the instructions perfectly. It removed about 10% of the hair and left me with bruises and sticky wax stuff that the wipes didn't get rid of properly.
The reason I wanted to wax is because cream and shaving irritate my skin, but this has left me red and bruised, which is far more unsightly than the rashes I was trying to avoid.
