Applied online for a personal loan to consolidate existing debt. On completion of the application was given a message that a few things would need to be checked and somebody would be in touch. I received no confirmation email or telephone call. I called two days later to find that the application had been received and declined on the basis of affordability. I had a tesco credit card which was changed in oct to tesco finest mastercard. Since then I have found that I cannot get into the page to increase my credit limit online. Was able to increase my limit no problem by telephone so its not to do with my account or anything. Unhappy that noone seems able to give me an answer for this problem (read more)

I had a Tesco Platinum Credit Card which was recently changed to a Tesco World Mastercard, silly as it may seem my wife and I did not want a 'Black' card due to personal reasons. In the question and answer section of the Tesco Credit Card site it clearly states that if not satisfied you can change to a Tesco Platinum Visa or Tesco Clucard Credit Card. I too was lured into the Tesco Personal Finance 6% interest rate in Jan.09 now down to next to nothing, and can I access my account, can I heck. Have spent hours trying, my blood pressure going up all the time. Can't wait for Jan 20010 to maybe retrieve my money. (read more)

A letter from Tesco Personal Finance asked me to manage my account from the web site - do you think I can get in, can I heck! There is nothing for savers, just stuff trying to sell me insurance. This is a failure as far as I am concerned. (read more)

Having opened a savings account with Tesco Personal Finance last year, I still have no written statement of the amount I sent them. Their telephone line is continuously engaged. I am unable to find how to register and manage my account on line. Must do better. Having lured me in at 6% a few months ago and now paying 1.75, I expect better. (read more)

They opened an account for me take my money then made it as difficult as possible to access it. They've had our money for 6 weeks now and still we cannot get it after writing to them, speaking to them, when I can get through that is. (read more)

Applied for 12k loan to do up the parents house with furniture, got a phone call to say I couldn't take the loan out over 10 years and had to opt for a 7k loan over five years, still waiting for a reply or some sort of written paper work, any other loans out there that take less than 2 weeks to set up and probably be told no? Dont recommend Tesco Personal Finance. (read more)
