Good Points: They have a quick turn around.
Bad Points: Not sure what nationality the people who work in the complaints/ problems department are but have a limited understanding, Also the disc fault feature is bad, they need more options.
General comments: Used to be with Amazon like many people no problems, since I have switched have had a faulty discs which I made them aware of so they sent my next disc as a 'Freebie' Which was great, or so I thought until I got a 2nd DVD of Michael Clayton. So I now have 2 identical discs. E-mail to advise them of this on the problem page , the closest problem was 'Wrong Disc Sent' to which I added at the bottom praying someone would take notice that I didn't have the wrong disc as such just 2 the same! I am soon to be accepting delivery of my 3rd Michael Clayton!!!!! Good quality films for the most part, Quick turn around, large selection but poor poor poor Problem page.

They got lot of titles, however in my opinion return is not quick and they are trying to restrict the number of discs it seems? Sometimes I can get only one disc per week therefore I do not find lovefilm.com a good return for my money.

Amazon has just sold my custom to Lovefilm and I'm visiting this site, trying to find a better online dvd rental service. I was a Love Film customer for a couple of years up until 2005 when I changed to Amazon. I cancelled my account because of EXACTLY the same reasons as already stated here - I never got my top choices and they were very slow to dispatch what they did send. I remember I deleted all my 'low' priority discs to see if that would speed things up but it didn't. Was with Amazon.. brilliant service, never had a bad disc, never had to contact customer service, dvd's were in the order I wanted, cheap(er than competitors).
then got transferred to Lovefilm. rental list is a joke.. 3 categories high, medium and low, which means you get the dvd's more quickly.. fine in principle.. but when I have predator 2 and willow as "rainy day just in case I can't find anything else" choices.. guess what got sent? could have picked jumper or Rambo or any of the other 10 ...

Two times I managed to escape by leaving and starting with another company - only to have them buy that company out. Now that they've bought out Amazon (which delivered a superb service), it's back to the same old thing - wrong movies delivered, and so forth and so on.They have shipped DVDs that are damaged. Absolutely love this site, we can watch around 4 films a week, they arrive very quickly! There is also so much choice as well.
We have received several discs that have either played poorly, or have actually been broken/cracked. Lucky LoveFilm do apologise and you send them back where I assume they are sorted out.
The website is easy to use, and also the price is great too.

Very good selection of movies. Quick turnaround. Plenty of new releases sent.
I liked their website and selection better than other companies but they did seem to send out a lot of faulty discs.

I have tried 4 different rental services, Screenselect, Blockbuster, LoveFilm and Amazon. Out of these Amazon have been the best - never missing any DVD's what so ever. But since LoveFilm are going round and purchasing every company that supplies DVD's for rental I just see LoveFilm taking over the whole market and it will be a real shame if they do in my opinion, as I just kept having trouble with them personally. No QA to check poor quality disks as far as I am concerned. Lovefilm.com replies on users to report errors.
Only subscribe to their service if a 30% failure rate on DVDs sent is acceptable to you. They do have a wide selection of DVD's but I would not recommend Love Film due to my experience.

Love Film have a prompt service, but for me personally I just want them to stop sending the same movies after they've been seen by me, please! I still recommend lovefilm.com I just would like to get this sorted out.

Having tried them once and left in disgust at their antics, I was persuaded by a 3-month free trial to give them another go. Like an idiot, I agreed. Service was even worse and I threw in the towel after a couple of weeks. Dealing with Lovefilm is just too much trouble and aggravation - even when free. I ' m certainly not going to pay for it. I ' m with Amazon at present but I ' m off as soon as Lovefilm takes over. I ' d rather dump my DVD player than deal with them again.

I will not recomend lovefilm to anyone. We signed up through our rugby clubs affiliation to buy. At website and had nice free trial experience but as soon as I paid them thats when turn around slowed down, started getting low priority discs, dealt with a very poor customer services call center (may be offshore?), faulty discs have been sent and on 1 occasion 2 discs lost and spent over a week with only our 1 kids disc selection, so had nothing come for adults. I will definatly be trying another ...

Utter rip off in my opinion. Since I have been with love film I have received a mere 12 DVDs on their "unlimited 2 at a time" policy and I have always returned a movie within 3 days of receiving it. At £13 per month this works out at £6.50 per disc - and you aren't guaranteed to get the ones you want anyway! I am currently trying to escape from their contract because a disc failed to show up - I have to wait until March after reporting it in January! I do not recommend Love Film for ...

I have had high priorty dvds waiting for months now because in my opinion they cant meet demand and therefore as far as I am aware I was sent low priority DVDs.
I do not recommend Love Film if you want to watch a decent movie any time soon.

Love Film (Sofa Cinema) are currently taking forever to receive my DVDs for me - most recently as far as I am aware the DVD never turned up, and appears to have disappeared from my list with the next DVD being sent out.
Signed up to Blockbuster, got my top two films delivered the next day! Am switching...
