Good Points: None. There's a decent selection of films, but I can get a better deal elsewhere.
Bad Points: This box is too small!
General comments: I signed up for 2DVDs and it went quite smoothly. Even though I live in a remote part of Scotland I still enjoyed a four day turnaround. The problem started when my wife sent a case back without the DVD. It took four weeks for them to finally say send it back in a blank case. In the meantime I was paying for 2DVDs but only getting 1. Responses to my numerous emails took about a week. I understand why they don't show a telephone number. I threatened cancellation at the beginning of my next month and the DVDs stopped altogether.
Not a very good outfit. Very "back of a transit van" like.

Customer service staff are very pleasant, but they seemed unable to suggest reasons why DVD's weren't forthcoming. The service used to be good, but the service has deteriorated since Spring 2006.
I was paying a monthly amount for unlimited DVD's (up to three at a time), and there were periods when I was 'awaiting allocation' for days on end.

I signed up with Screen Select online DVD rental for the "free tenner" promotion, but a month after signing up I still haven't received my tenner.

Initially, the Screen Select DVD rental service was good with fast turnaround. On the 3 disc service I got 6 discs a week with a personal selection list of over 300 titles.
However, I wouldn't recommend this service now as the service has slowed right down. They can barely manage to send 3 discs a week. As soon as they drop below 3 discs a week I'll be reducing my subscription and looking at alternatives.

Quick turnaround no problems with receiving or sending back DVD's
One went missing in the post when sending back but this caused no problems.
Good if you are not too desperate to watch new releases or can cope with the occasional unwatchable DVD.

I joined Screen Select online DVD rental through dvd.co.uk. The offer was a free DVD voucher to the value of £20 when I joined. After 28 days and no voucher I sent an email. I got a response saying that they would check with their promotions department.
Another week passed and I emailed again, and they said they hadn't had a response from their promotions department (how big do you think they are that it takes a week to get a response?). I sent another email telling them they had no in ...

When I first joined a couple of years ago the service was amazing - very fast - very helpful - they would order titles I requested if they didn't have them in their catalogue. The speed of dispatch has become slower and slower. Customer services have been reduced to sending the nearest stock response that fits the bill. I can find no phone number on their website. They have been taken over / merged several times since I have been with them, and the quality of the product has suffered each time. ...

After a month, the Screen Select online DVD rental service has slowed down a great deal. What is really annoying is that the complaints department is computer generated, and there are no customer relations. Despite the 38 DVD's I have selected, I would only receive DVD's (when they do eventually send them) at the bottom of my priority list. I think it's back to the local Blockbuster and choosing the DVD I would like to watch on that day.

Screen Select online DVD rental was good in first month or so, but when we changed to 3 DVD's a month instead of 1, the service really slowed down, and all complaints are dealt by a computer generator. Every time I've complained I have received a message saying someone will contact me within 24 hours, but it has never happened yet. I've never heard anything back. This is customer service at its worst. I posted back two DVD's on a Friday, and I still haven't received anything the following Monday ...

No real complaints about Screen Select. They send most of our discs out same day and provide top titles regularly. Cant ask for much more than that as 15 quid a month is by no means expensive when the old bricks and mortar down the road wants almost 4 quid for 1 night rental of a new release. Im a light user. Customer service alright-ish; sent me a dvd with no case or barcode, inevitably when I mailed it back with covering note it ended up lost in their warehouse. Sorted out in the end after a ...

The service from Screen Select is generally good, with reasonable selection and turn around times. Where the service falls down is the quality of the discs. Whether this is because they don't replace discs regularly enough or because the discs are getting damaged in transit I'm not sure.
I'm got sick of reporting damaged discs and I'm now considering changing to Amazon, they're cheaper as well!

Don't be tempted by the 6 FREE DVD's. Screen Select promised 6 FREE DVD's before the £9.99 per month starts. If you weren't happy with this then you could cancel at anytime. By the time my 2nd DVD arrived the £9.99 was already out of my account.

I am very disappointed with Screenselect. It was good at the beginning when I had only a 1 dvd package. But since I have a 2dvd package, it is very slow. They don't send you a dvd the next day despite the 35dvds I have in my list. You always have to wait and you often don't have any dvds at home at the weekend. When you phone them they say they are sorry, but nothing is done. I finally left them after 6 months of problems.

Screen Select are great. Turn around time is great, and if you prioritise films using their 3 point system you will get to see the latest releases first. I've had no problems with Screen Select, even when contacting via their website I found I received a response in less than 24 hours.

I can't believe this service! I signed up for a Screen Select Free trial, received my first DVDs through the post only to discover that two days after starting my trial, they had already billed my account! I am going to seek legal action as it seems almost impossible to contact them via their website. Do NOT, whatever you do, trust this website!!!

Generally the turn around times are poor. Screen Select don't work weekends. If you return a DVD on Thursday it probably won't be processed until Monday (in my experience) by the time a new rental gets through your letterbox your looking a Tuesday at the earliest you can add a day to that if it's a bank holiday weekend. Thank good I haven't 'experienced' the Xmas period yet.
To the top that off they received my DVD returns last Thursday and they still haven't allocated me any new DVDs (as ...

A year or so ago I signed up for the Screen Select 14 day trial (I think it was 14) and it allowed me to borrow 2 DVDs at a time. They seemed to be despatched pretty quickly and all was good. I got a few movies from the bottom of my list which is kind of to be expected in a way... maybe they need to get a few more copies of other movies. That said, I got some good movies through the post and cancelling my trial was just a matter of clicking on a button on their website. I sent the last two m ...

Free trial designed to result in payment. Screen Select claim no fees, no contract and cancel anytime. It's a lie, you can't cancel until you return the DVDs and by then it's your billing date. They sent my last "free trial disk" on a Saturday before a Bank Holiday. Then expected me to return it before Sunday it's a scam. Your free trial WILL result in payment
