The first year or so it was doing good, no problems which weren't easily sorted.
After that it started freezing every now and then, which requires you to take the battery out then wait for the reboot for about 10 minutes.
I stopped using it for about 4 months. I tried to turn it on again, it wasn't working, so i left i on charge over-night, thinking it was a dead battery. Next day it continued to do nothing doesn't work for no apparent reason.
You can be sure my next MP3 will be an iPod. Much...

Creative Zem Micro is the worse thing I have ever received in my life. My parents bought it for me for Christmas. It took me 4 months to figure out how to make the player work with my computer. After that it work perfectly. It was the best thing in the world. Then when I went to charge it, it went completely blank. I have tried everything to make the player turn on, but there is nothing. When I first got my Creative Zen Micro, I was impressed, to say the least.
It has been around 6months now, and I have been effectively turned off any Creative product.
Between the earphne jack breaking completely, the pathetic battery life, and the extremely irritating and ineffective customer service, I have to admit, I am running back into the safe and comforting arms of Apple and the Ipod.

It was pretty bad after 2 years when it broke down and no one seemed to know how to fix it, plus my battery was dying. To fix it, i bought a new battery and restarted the zen (take out the battery, hold it on "on" and put the battery back in while holding it) and afterwards, it worked out fine. It's been like 5 months since i did that and now it works fine. (read more)

If you don't want your player to last very long, then this is a great choice for initial quality. However, as time has gone on, I have had more and more problems, like refusing to link up to the computer (I usually have to take it out and plug it in again several times before the program recognizes it), and starting after about 2 years of use problems have occurred with the memory (see bad points section). Honestly, with the craze that Apple iPod has created, I was also willing to hop on one - iPod Nano. However, as luck may have it, I didn't get any new piece in my area! So my shopper suggested that I should try Creative Zen Micro MP3 Player (1 GB, 250 Songs) - he said this is a new entrant in digital music player market, and has quite promising features. With a little scepticism, and my pressing desire to purchase a digital MP3 player, I dared to buy the Zen player.

I have never written a negative review before, but I feel it is my responsibility to convey my experience as a warning to others. I bought a Creative Zen player less than a year ago. After only 10-20 hours of use, it broke (the power switch did not work). I returned it to the company and was charged $25 to fix it even though the device was essentially new. I received it, used it sparingly again, and same problem occurred. I sent it back to them, and now they want $71 to fix the device. I... (read more)

I bought the Creative ZEN Micro MP3 player over a year ago. It was well reviewed and slightly cheaper than an iPod. It lasted well. It was dropped a few times and carried on working, and the software is fine. However, it now doesn't switch on or off, which is fairly annoying. When it first started being temperamental about it I looked on several review sites, and it's a common problem. I now use it by taking the battery out when I want it turned off, which isn't great long-term, as it's not... (read more)

This MP3 player looked the bee's knees during my research, and so it proved until month two of ownership, when it started to freeze on boot up. It was eventually sent back to Creative, who 'repaired' it. It then fell back into its old ways, freezing completely. The warranty expired not long ago and now we have a £150 piece of junk doing nothing except reminding us why we will never buy from Creative again. The support was a joke too - absolutely no accessories were available for it... (read more)

I have owned the Creative ZEN Micro MP3 player for over a year now, and I loved it when it worked. The player is perfect for anyone who likes an unreliable waste of money. Not only did my headphone jack break like everyone else's, but it consistently freezes or turns off for no apparent reason. Recently, I turned it on and everything I had on it was gone completely. I tried to reload all my songs, but they were mysteriously deleted a few days later.

I had my Micro MP3 player for around a month or so before experiencing problems. I bought it refurbished off Ebay, directly from Creative Zen manufacturing. Things were going fine until I began having problems with my headphone jack. Every time I wiggled or moved with the thing, I'd lose half my sound! After dealing with that, it died on me. Two months of ownership, and it died. It acts as if the battery is low, but I've charged it forever and it still won't revive. (read more)

I have had this MP3 player since March 2005, and it's a great little player! I've managed to fit 1500 songs on to the 5Bb memory. It's simple to use and to download songs to, and I have had no real problems up until now.
I was making a 3 hour train journey, and as the train left the station I noticed the sound quality was poor. I wiggled the headphones and the quality improved, but every time I knocked the player or moved it, the quality varied from appalling to bad. Hence that journey was...

The Creative Zen Micro MP3 player was a present to me about 1 year ago, and I was thrilled to receive it. However, after about 7 months it kept resetting itself and kept deleting all the songs on it.

Never wanting to conform, I decided not to opt for the iPod and bought myself a Creative Zen Micro MP3 player last April.

I got the creative Zen Micro MP3 player for my birthday in June last year. Very soon it developed a problem with the on/off switch. You know that if you have to replace a product once under warranty, then maybe you were unlucky with your purchase.

Although my son thought the Creative Zen Micro MP3 player performed well, it slipped out of his pant pocket while crouching to tie his shoe. The product slid onto the carpeted floor (less than a 12 inch fall onto 1 1/2 inches of padding), and the LCD screen cracked.
I sent it back to the company for review, and my concern was that there was an existing problem to have so much damage done from such a minor incident. After two weeks of waiting for a call which never came, I have now spent...
