There is no official WinXP disk for the Rio500, but there are freeware alternatives available.
Google for 'RIOsitude'. I've been using this for a while, works fine.

Can anyone help me? I have just bought a Rio 500 MP3 player, but the disc is for windows 98, and I have Windows XP. Where can I get a new disc for Windows XP?

Come on, CD quality and MP3 is not the same. Not even close. Buy some ears too (not included).

This gadget has 64Mb so I can now store a full album of CD quality music on it.
The USB feature saves me a lot of time too.
It has seperate bass & treble adjusters.
Most of all the sound quality is superb.
