Everything about this site is just spot on. I have been going to this site on and off for the last 7 years. Firstly with my wife and now my wife and children. this is a quiet and very friendly site and child friendly. FANTASTIC. JUST A FANTASTIC SITE NOTHING ELSE CAN BE SAID I WILL BE RETURNING AGAIN THIS YEAR.

This is the second time we've camped at Southland Camping Park and will return again and again! We have 3 young children and all of us have really enjoyed the wholesome atmosphere this site creates. With great facilities and pleasant owners and staff we have had 2 great holidays here. I have no problem in recommending this site to anybody particularly families.

We have just returned from our 5th annual holiday at Southlands. Once again we received a great welcome and had a fantastic time. The site is beatifully maintained; the facilities are second to none and the staff could not be more friendly or helpful. No problem is too large for them to assist with, even with the loss of both our car and caravan on our journey there! I would not hesitate to recommend this site to friends. It is not a loud noisy site suitable for yobs, more a small friendly famil ...

This was our 4th year at Southlands and can't recommend strongly enough to anyone else considering a camping/touring holiday. The site is immaculately kept from the pitches to the toilets and showers. We have had a pitch very close to the children's play area for the past 2 years as we have 2 children (aged 5 & 7) and have never found this to be a problem as the area is rightly cleared at 9pm. The staff are friendly, polite and helpful in every sense and we look forward to returning in 2008.

The site is kid friendly, of course there will always be children who either lack discipline or have never been taught good manners by their parents. Who may need the odd reminder from staff or other guests to be considerate of others.

This was the first time that we visited the Island. We found that the campsite owners were very friendly and welcoming. We have two young children aged 4 and 3 and they loved the children's playground area. The facilities were excellent and well maintained at all times. The showers were hot and surprisingly spacious. The site is very well laid out and feels very private. We will definitely be returning to the Island and to this campsite.

Just arrived back from second trip to Southlands and shall be booking again for next year. The site is as well maintained as a site as we have ever visited. Showers and toilets were spotless as was play area and pitches. Staff were very polite and helpful. On the whole probably one of the islands best sites, having two children and a friend with us, the play area came in very useful. 7 yr old, 6 yr old and a 5 yr old were kept entertained all the time. Maybe shop hours could be extended a littl ...

We have just returned from Southland Camping, after what must be our tenth visit over the last few years, once again we were made welcome by the owners and an item that was left by one of the children on a previous visit was kept by the owner and returned to her. We spent a week on the site with our children and grandchildren last week and everyone really enjoyed the holiday. Everyone is talking of returning once again next year.

I have just come back from a 3 week holiday at Southland, this being my 4th visit to the park (I have already booked our holiday at this site for another 3 weeks next year) once again the site was immaculate, well maintained and most importantly the facilities clean, which with 2 young children (aged 4 years & 7 months) is the most important factor for me. The layout of the park is excellent as the pitches are a good size and all laid out in small avenues sheltered by hedges or conifer trees. I ...

Children will play when on holiday and should be expected to do so. However the management on the Southland Camping Park, Isle of Wight do not see it that way. Our children (3 and 6 years old) are very closely supervised when they are playing outside. Like all children they will make some noise. Given that we visited in the middle of the summer holidays, what can anyone expect? The site where happy when we booked that we had children - only when we were on site did we realise that this was not t ...

The Southland Camping Park on the Isle of White should really make it clear that it is intended for adults only. Children's outdoor toys and games are frowned upon, and kids are routinely told off for cycling faster than walking pace. The threat of confiscation of bicycles awaits regular offenders. The children's play area is of a poor standard, and given that the owners do not allow any kind of play outside the designated area, the kids will have a hard time occupying themselves outdoors. I ...

Southland Camping Park is an excellent site which fully deserves the many awards it has received. My wife and I have visited many sites in both Europe and the UK but we are always pleased to return to Southlands when we are able. We particularly enjoy the secluded nature of the site and the easy access to the many local country walks. We have no hesitation in commending this site
