Good Points: Lovely gym- good facilities
Bad Points: Company cares not for customers
General comments: I had been a loyal customer for many years and the time came when I had to leave for various reasons. I asked what the procedure was and was told i had to let the club know in writing and give 30 days notice.
I did this at the end of May and cancelled my direct debit. I then received a letter the other day saying I hadn't cancelled my membership blah blah blah and that I owed them £47.
I phoned up and said that I had sent letter etc. and that I had a copy of it but they simply said the hadn't received and there was nothing they could do. How do I know they didn't throw the letter away just to get the extra £47?
I thought that the thousands of pounds and years of loyalty they had off me would count for something but no.
At the end of the day all they care about is your money like any other big company and don't be fooled otherwise.
My advise- join a small independent gym at half the monthly cost or better yet- buy a bike.

I joined Greens Health and Fitness in Liverpool over a year ago with my fiance in the run up to our wedding. The staff are knowledgeable and friendly and there is an extensive range of BTS classes which are led competently and with humour. We were both given a full induction and recommendations for our personalised workouts were made. It does cost £81 per month for my partner and I on the flexi-plan, but this is because we are in full time employment and therefore have to go at peak ti ...

As a visitor and potential permanent member I was not treated properly. The staff were not professional including the manager who I had to ask to see. They failed to realise the importance of PR in a climate of financial challenges and stiff competition.

I joined Greens on a flexible contract meaning I could cancel in a months notice. In this contract there was a 14-day full money back guarantee. I canceled my membership on the 14th-day with was the 27th. That was the end of it for me and I was told I would receive a cheque with my refund. 2 weeks later the cheque had not arrived and I was told I had canceled outside of the 14-day period, I went to Greens with my receipt of cancellation to prove I had canceled within the period and was told I wo ...

The new Physio-Therm sauna is fantastic for injury recovery, and the pool hall has a relaxing ambience. Excellent value for money compared to other gyms in the area. Great club and would recommend it to anyone looking to get fit or simply relax.

I have been a member at Greens Health and Fitness in Croydon now for 11 months and have found it to be the best health club I have ever joined. The staff are very welcoming and friendly, the equipment is modern and very infrequently out of action. Cleanliness always seems to be a high priority, especially in the changing areas and poolside. There is an excellent choice of classes and a very professional beauty and hair salon. What stands out though is their pricing. Compared to Esporta and Holme ...

I joined Greens Health and Fitness on account of it being easy to get to after work and that was the only reason. I find it quite unclean compared to some of the other gyms in Edinburgh and the machines frankly old and tatty. On first joining the gym you are made to purchase a swob to enter the gym and also to use the locker facilities this is £15. However, as well as the membership fees which are paid every month if you forget this swob you are made to pay to borrow one. With all the week ...

I heard about Greens Health and Fitness club from friends of members, and they recommended I come along. I got a trial pass no problem (for free) when I phoned up.
Reception is nicely laid out, and the gym was busy but not overcrowded when I was there (Wednesday at 6.15pm).
Very helpful sales staff who gave me all the information but no pressure to join.
Lack of children's facilities is good for me, but anyone with families would find it restricting.
Overall, a nice gym, with good s ...

I called Greens Health and Fitness and was told a 2-week guest pass costs 40 pounds. When I went there, the sales manager said that price only applies for friends of members. He wanted to charge me 150 pounds.
I asked if he'd honor their price quote. He snapped that they won't make enough money that way. I said I will write an internet review and surely they don't want bad PR. He accused me of threatening him.
They also closed their gym that day for constructions (only sauna was ...
