Not a day goes by without me smiling in this car! My other car is an MX5 and the VRS knocks spots off it! It goes like grease lightning and I still get 550 mls to tank and 58mpg. Up and down the M5 M42 eating up the miles and the acceleration still blows me away after 4 yrs.Apart from tyres ,oil ,cam belt there have been no trips to the garage at all. I have converted so many skoda phobics- VW and Audi driving relatives who aftewr a quick burst up the motorway said in unison " It's like **** on a shovel". Just wish I had the time to polish it back to its gleaming black shine.Love interior grey but does get grubby.

Having been familiar with vw's tdi engined company cars for many years,i was looking for a vehicle on a budget that had similar performance as golf gti/focus 1.9tdci. I purchased a black fabia vrs with 19000 miles from a car supermarket and found it a fantastic allrounder , hot hatch, tourer, family, city car all in one. With minimalist styling and no tacky body kits (vrx/st's/evo's) i would recommend this car to anybody no matter what age. Great value for money, couldn't find any other car that's ...- Read Guest's review (200 words)

I've just bought a vrs today!! the special edition one aswell :P One evening i walked past it and it caught my eye straight away and i knew looking at the colour and leather seat and thinking of the power it has i just had to have it! The blokes in the dealership had to warn me not to go full throttle until i'm used to the power! i mean i have never had that said to me before, i pick it up on tuesday and if i'm honest i can't wait these couple days have better go quick!!- Read simonedwards18's review (151 words)

Got my Skoda Fabia VRS last March so had it just over a year, the car looks great and shifts pretty well too having gone from a 300bhp Astra GSI Turbo, got a house so it was cheap motoring but still with the smile factor, the Fabia stepped up to this challenge and i wouldnt change it for the world, well, unless they released a 300bhp rally replica!!!- Read Guest's review (126 words)

Skoda Fabia vRS 1.9 TDI PD is nippy and economical. I'm struggling to find bad points - its going to be something pedantic, Thats all there will be, its just possible that they missed a stitch in the seating. Its in an area that no one can see. No Ive had the magnifying glass to it, just a bit of fluff. What a car!- Read Guest's review (63 words)

I am on my second Skoda Fabia VRS and you won't find a better package! My 1st a 2004 model was fantastic no issues. My 2nd I finally bought a 2007 Special Edition, its a dream. What other car gives you a package of Exciting power the torque mid range makes overtaking a doddle, Space, 5 doors, Economy and makes you smile every time you drive it! and it is also a sensible family car, a real wolf in sheeps clothing. Reliabilty issues, just one exhaust gases sensor fault fixed under warranty. Go on ...- Read VRSROB's review (125 words)

I've had my Skoda Fabia vRS for 2 months now and is so much fun! On a long journey, it's comfortable and returns 60+ mpg and that includes the occasional urge to put my foot down!
I have lost count of the number of Porsche, Audi and BMW drivers who look on in amazement when I overtake them. I love it! Without doubt the best car I've ever had and next year I'll be remapping for a further 30bhp.- Read richie1111's review (90 words)

I've had the car for around a year now its been very good to live with im a keen car man and have always owned fast cars but having bougt a house and got married I needed a blend of the two. Its fast enough to have some fun and when you dont you can relax and enjoy the cheap running costs. Its well built and reliable.- Read Guest's review (81 words)

Car is quick on acceleration. 4 doors are a plus if comparing to another hot-hatch where 2 doors can be a pain.
Car can be chipped to improve acceleration but not top speed (told by chip people). General servicing can be DIY, apart from tuning and resetting service light.
Engine oil type is critical, if not sure ask Skoda or top respected garage.- Read giandndougl's review (107 words and 3 comments)

Great car! I previously owned the Honda Civic 1.7 CDTi and after the experience i'd pick the Skoda equivalent every time! The PD engine in the vRS and all the other VAG models is very strong and capable. I The standard power is very addictive, you cant seem to get enough of that torque giving you a kick up the backside.I found mine to average at around 50mpg . If you decide you've suddenly caught heavy-foot syndrome in wet conditions don't bother heading for that ASR button as the traction cont ...- Read winkyrulz's review (176 words)

This is my 2nd Skoda Fabia, my 1st was a 1.4tdi which, I did 65000 trouble free miles in 2 years, this was a company car and the reason why I decided, when it was time to renew and my guvnor gave me a choice on what I could have next, to go for the vrs. (I could have had an Audi A4).
The 1.4 TDi was a surprise package as I never thought id go for a Skoda, but what a change of heart. The vrs I picked up is Carrera red and looks great (it had to be either black or red, the other colours did nothi ...- Read surveyguy's review (220 words)

I have had 2 Fabia vRS's now, a 2003 model when it first came out and now a 2007 special edition. I can say the performance, it is without doubt excellent. The reason why the Fabia vRs got such a bad write up when it came out in 2003 was basically it was still fashionable to poke fun at Skoda and the concept of putting a diesel into a hot hatch was too much for most people to understand; however a lot has changed since then and most manufactures now offer a "hot" diesel car and like it or not Sk ...- Read efunkster's review (298 words and 2 comments)

I bought my Fabia vRS new in August '05 and have covered 25,000 trouble free miles since then. The excellent 1.9 PD TDi engine has never let me down and it is quite refined over long distances. You do get a fair bit of diesel clatter about town though, but this is forgivable as the engine is so strong once on the open road. Cabin storage space is quite good once you discover all of the storage shelves and compartments and with the rear seats folded it has impressive and easy to load luggage spa ...- Read Graemeoncars's review (193 words and 1 comment)

We test drove one from a main dealer and wondered if it was going to be all that we had read about. It drove like a tame cat through town, although you could feel that it wanted to get up and get out of there. Once we got on the open road, it simply flew, every single thing written was true, and then some. Hang on, it's a great ride and you will grin from ear to ear every time you drive it. Fantastic car, fantastic performance and just awesome value for money. Its a SUPERCAR with a Skoda badge.. ...- Read Chandler's review (153 words)

Contrary to one of your other reviews who said you cannot have leather now, you can. I had it fitted and with my Skoda Fabia vRS 1.9 TDI PD being red and the black leather as a contrast, it looks fantastic. Value for money is really good! I would recommend a Skoda vRS all day long. Once you get over the word Skoda, it took myself a little while, it's fine. I wondered if I had done the right thing after I had ordered mine but now I have no regrets at all - fabulous!- Read germany's review (108 words)

Overall the Skoda Fabia vRS is an excellent economical very fast car. Price new, street's ahead of VW and a-little of SEAT for that 130bhp engine. Possibility to increase an already fast car by getting it chipped out, etc. Being a 5 door is a bonus as most sport's car's are only 3 door. BUY ONE.!!- Read giandndougl's review (189 words)
