Good Points: Easy installation - as far as I know they all have this - so it's not a really noticeable feature any more.

Bad Points: Has updated OS software which has slowed the DFTA3 right down! Game play can be frustrating because pressing cursor keys too quickly makes the channels jump. The new OSD is buggy having good and bad points: it can search for programmes over the coming week (matching selected programme or from input characters). It has a 'go to day' feature. Annoyances include the half-hourly segmentation of the day (previously it was easier to scroll through a days TV based on programme length and you could quickly find something more interesting to watch). The channel reorganiser feature doesn't work - I've changed the order of my channels about 5 times - and given up coz they revert to numerical order again. The fact that I can't order my channels properly kinda makes me want to buy something else, I used to clump all the ITV channels, the CH4 stuff and the CH5 stuff - now I have to plough through about 30 channels to go from ITV2 to ITV2+1!

General comments: I used to think the Bush DFTA3 was an 8 or more, now it's just annoying and I'm searching for something else - grrrrrr! Generally an ok box worth a couple of pounds, but there are no buttons on the box - so you REALLY need to take care of the remote. I *REALLY* wish there was a way of removing this upgrade, because I was happy enough with the old OS. And I can take control of the channel organisation again.

I've had a Bush DFTA3 for approx 2 years now. It auto-tuned itself quickly and everything went ok for a while. I even installed one for my parents. However, we've all noted that this model freezes [can't change channel and if you switch unit off, it won't turn on again]. I was majorly freaked out the first time this happened! It took me a while to figure out that the thing had probably overheated or something, because unplugging it, waiting an hour and then powering it up seemed to get it goin ...

I have had the Bush DFTA3 freeview box for one year (since Christmas 2004). I bought a new box with a hard drive this Christmas, and moved the DFTA3 into my bedroom. It has lost all channel information, and with the scariest of hard copy information, it is not possible to know what is to be shown on the less popular channels.

I have worked in electrical shops, and I know when we sell a Bush product that it's pretty likely to be returned. My sister wanted the cheapest possible freeview digibox from me and I reluctantly sold the Bush DFTA3. For 3 months it was great! great picking up a good signal and doing what it was designed for, but now it has broken down. I've just paid an extra £10 and gone for the Panasonic TUCT41.

My Bush DFTA3 Freeview box locks on to a low quality signal from a narrow band aerial with powered booster. The i key and EPG function is seven day program guide, unlike some boxes I looked at. Good small size remote operates in one hand. A lot of boxes seem to have slow response to remote. Average price, good features.

Only had the Bush DFTA3 box for 2 weeks then it stopped responding to the remote. Tried all it says in the manual including obvious: turn of/on, replace batteries, check ir beam path. etc. etc.. stil nothing! It's as they say,. you only get what you pay for,.. in this case,. cheap and nasty.. Won't be buying Bush again.

Have been having a less than great picture from a Panasonic TUCT20 for the past 2 years and eventually called in an aerial company. Then just changed to the Bush and Bingo, perfect picture on all channels.

The Bush DFTA3 was the box that made me think that we couldn't get Freeview. It subsequently turns out that it is the only one that cannot receive a signal when all others can. Not much good really.

The Bush DFTA3 freeview box features a well maintained picture throughout use, plus clear images and perfect sound audio. It has a small, stylish contemporary design and is just more than a pretty little box. It's size is cute not too big so it can fit in the most smallest places. It's just a lovely little thing to wake up to in the morning. No wonder I get hardly any sleep!
