Good Points: Cheap, High resolution pictures, Useful and relevant features
Bad Points: Focus not so good on close ups, Colour definition sometimes not very accurate in reflective situations.
General comments: The Jenoptik jd800i is my first digital camera and judging from the image quality, hopefully not my last. After looking around for an entry level camera, this was the obvious choice. Being a lowly student and not wanting to spend too much money, I was restricted to the sub £130 range. This was definitly a good choice. Compared to other camera's in the same price range, this is amazing. Picture resolution upto 1.3 million pixels from a camera costing less than £100 is pretty impressive. The quality is very good and generally very accurate. Colour definition and representation is realistic although in certain reflective situations gets slightly distorted. The flash works very well, even in dark situations to give a camera which can actually be used in most lighting situations.
The camera is good for long to mid range digital photography, but the macro function for close up shots isn't brilliant. On the whole, it's a cheap, reliable and high quality digital camera. If you want something with more advanced features, this camera isn't for you, but for high resolution, fun pictures, this is great.
