Having using the DataWrite Yellow brand of bland DVD R's I thought I would try the DataWrite RED (V3) 4x DVD-R General Purpose, since they were on offer.
I found that they were generally okay, but some disks skipped on one of my standalone DVD players, and I have had a couple of disks go bad when burning.

When I started using these Datawrite disks, I'd just bought a new pc & had access to a dvd writer for the first time. I bought a sample pack of about 4 different disks, & found these ones were the only ones that produced an error-free burn every time. I use them mostly with Nero, but also with BlindWrite, DeepBurner, DVDFab & DVD Shrink. I also use them for audio & data as well as for dvd video files, & haven't had a problem yet. These Disks are Very Reliable and Cheap
Can't ask much more than that can you.
No wasted disks so far from using over 30 so far.
Only errors have been mine doing stupid thigs whilst writing up a disk once, I looked at the Properties of a file on folder on my computer which contained a lot of files and the computer ground to a near halt whilst it calculated the total amont of drive space used,
See stupid thing to do ....
