This is not just an ordinary credit card this is a Marbles Masterbard credit card backed by one of our biggest casinos (sorry Bank). Theire service is second to none - ie there is no service. The staff make Muppets look intelligent and polite. I have had the card for 12+ years and just used it to get goods delivered to our office address. We moved and my card dissapeared - i think it got archived - no probs - ring up and let them know and do the address change at the same time. Went through security...

Simply put AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL costs. I was paying monthly payments back on this card, regularly and on time and they never had the decency of sending me a monthly statements. Despite numerous calls to the call centres this still took months to resolve. So a letter to head office was called for. Having written to them explaining this issue and politely asking them for the balance (so I could pay the full amount off) I received a letter over 14 days later stating " A credit card agreement unlike...

Just had a letter from [name removed] Senior manager Customer Services (oxymoron) reducing my credit limit to £1000. called thecustomer service team to query this and ask for it to be put back to what it was. They refused as I don't use the card. I keep it for a back up in case Visa or Amex is not accepted.Had a card for many years not a late payer, good credit rating. I was told they can't change my credit limit, I explained that this is useless, what if I wanted to go and buy a car and put...

Horrified to discover that I am just one more long term customer who has been 'done over' by Marbles. I suspected that they wanted to get rid of the customers by making the service so unbelievably bad that enough would leave and they could close the card down. Now it looks like they really don't care about anything except screwing every penny out of you any petty way that they can. How can a bank operate like this so soon after they supposedly put their house in order. ...

Marbles are shocking! I have had my account for about 5 years, always paid on time & never been a problem to them. I also have a good credit rating & have checked this with Experian to be certain. I hadn't used my card for a few months, and they suddenly dropped my credit from 6k to 800.00! Then I have proceeded to get letters every few months with interest rate raises to the ridiculous. Now standing at 38.9%! How can this be legal! They are part of HBOS and I have accounts with HBOS and also...

If I could pay my Marbles card off and close the account down I would have done so last year when they increased the interest on purchases and cash to 39.9%. I tried to transfer a lump sum from another card as a damage limitation exercise to at least reduce the balance. However, I was told that this was not acceptable because they needed proof of where I had obtained the money. (Obviously - a balance transfer from another ctredit card of which I had given the details.) However, the transfer was...

This company, Marbles, is screwing its loyal long term customers who never default and always pay on time. What price loyalty? A 33.9% interest rate is your distinctly unpalatable loyalty bonus! My advice to anyone in this position is GET RID NOW. I am paying mine off ( along with MBNA who are charging nearer 35% ) in full. If you can't do that, make a balance transfer or take out a loan to pay it off.( Bear in mind there is no 3% balance transfer fee when you take out a loan and if you can...

I had this Marbles Credit Card for many years. They keep hiking up the interest rate virtually with every statement, up to a number around 35%. I initially took out the Marbles Credit Card on a 0% interest offer which was great but was shocked when a recent statement informed me in small print that the interest rate would be increasing to over 30% as of July 1st 2009. Needless to say I transferred the balance ASAP. My advise is if you can get a good 0% interest deal with Marbles go for it but remember to transfer any outstanding balances before the term is up. With interests rates at their lowest, this is nothing but greed and exploitation....

I do not understand why the Government has not stepped in to curb the ever increasing rise in Marbles interest rates; especially as they are linked to the Bank of Scotland. There is no legislation which can prevent their actions as the government has long supported mismanagement of financial markets and their constant increase in interest is a good example. It appears to me that Aviemore Funding Limited is out to make as much money from the customers they dragged into their system by taking over...

When I received a mail from them saying the rates were to increase even further, to almost 30%, I phoned to cancel. I originally took out a platinum Mastercard branded as "Churchill," which was affiliated to the car insurance company of the same name, and issued by Beneficial Bank.
