The customer service guy was rude through out the conversation, he was talking as if we had some personal vendetta against us and appeared to be shouting at me. We were in a nasty car accident in 2011 and they couldn't have been more helpful. We spoke to the same advisor all the way through and from start to finish everything was dealt with efficiently. We had another minor accident 6 months later, and again I couldn't fault them. easy to get hold of, efficient and did exactly what we'd paid for them to do. Recommended! (read more)

Do not insure your vehicle with this company. Call centre is in India, customer service are terrible. The engineers over there seem to be getting paid to sit at their desks and do nothing, it is no surprise the economy is in a terrible state if this is how they work. Avoid at all costs. If you have to pay a little extra to another insurer I would strongly suggest you do so or be prepared to pull out your hair and go crazy. (read more)

AVOID THEM AND PAY £300 and insure elsewhere. This is to avoid a heart attack or stroke. I insured my car on the 24FEB 2013. All paid in full, no instalments just one off payment. Because my TAX disc was valid until 28 FEB I tried to login to their website to print out my policy details. No luck, the big MORETHAN had website inaccessible and crashing. These IDIOTS cancelled my insurance without telling me, however carried on taking monthly payments. It was only when I called them to change something on my policy that I was told I was not insured because their online system had made an error when quoting me a price. So, after driving around for a number of months without insurance I hastily cancelled my direct debit and requested my bank to return all previous DD payments. Have fully comp insurance which includes FIRE and theft...car got burnt out in the middle of the night. Could not be repaired as nothing left of it. Phoned more than to make a claim and to get a courtesy car and they told me as it was a write off they would not give the courtesy car. How on earth can they include fire and theft in the insurance policy if they do not cover this. There was nothing in my policy documents thats states this. I am now having to take this further. I processed a non fault claim and they put my claim on hold even though the third party has admitted liability. They wanted to check my previous accident history and even though i have it in black and white they say it is not on there systems. They pass me around the houses through differents parts of there india offices and they laugh whilst talking to me. They lie about the information i have provided to them. I would never recommend this insurance company to anyone they lie and put my new born baby's safety at risk. Been with them 4 years nows, renewed again in July. Never had a claim but they are very competitive and their customer service is excellent!! Very helpful call operators and a couple of times I have had cheaper quotes from competitors and they have matched it to stay with them, which I have. I would recommend them, they will go out of their way to get your business. Good Company all in all. (read more)

My car was damaged when a passenger opened his car door without looking. More than swung into action immediately. I was kept up to date on a daily basis with my car repair and telephone staff could not have been more helpful or friendly. I received an equivalent rental car for the duration of the repair. I chose more than insurance as it was the cheapest at the time of renewal. I am fully comp and paid in full. When someone cut me up on a roundabout and caused me to crash I called my insurer. My 22 yr old daughter is a named driver on my fully comp policy and some fool drove into the back of her and pushed her into the car in front... Tried to add European cover to my car insurance. Took seven calls to their Indian call center until this was sorted. Endlessly had to repeat trivia such as date of birth and address only to hear what they CANNOT do because of random excuses such as "my file is open", a "computer glitch", the new insurance contract is not yet "activated" etc. They promised to call back but of course did not. The worst service ive ever received from a company ever. After the stress of having my house burgled and my car stolen, im met with people who obviously just don't care. 3 weeks, still no car or reason why, the car was recovered after 24 hours but im still not allowed it. After receiving quotes from gocompare, more than was the top choice. After viewing my quote a couple of times, comparing it to other similar quotes, i find out their computer system has blackmailed me for simply looking around. Quite horrendous to put it bluntly and their customer support staff were equally as poor. Went with quote me happy instead, quote was a little more but worth it to avoid the amateurs at more than. Having bought a new car i transferred my old insurance onto the new vehicle. Hoever More than have no email system and told me I had to wait 7 days until i received policy through the post. However i am unable to tax my car without the insurance policy at a post office. How can a huge company not have an email system. Its a joke. More Than promised to beat my quote, they quoted me more than £300.00.I sent them an email they phoned me the next day. The Tele sales woman said how much did we quote you and I told her £300.00 more.More Than could not help me. I decided to report them to the Advertising Standards. i agree i had poor quality of sevice ,said they could not e-mail me my proof of insurance certificate only by fax, once received i went to buy my tax and more than..didnt send through correct info of which i trailed around the shops in a different location from before to find a shop that was able to oblige me with a fax..finally after an hour !! then not once but three more times i had to contact them to send me the correct info ..i had "its been sent in the post" "dont have any details" was kept on the line for ages,, the outcome was 3 hours of wasted time and a mobile bill of £13.76 of which they will be receiving.. this left me annoyed and late for work ...and yes .. go somewhere else

They promise to beat your car renewal premium. When I phoned them I was told that this was correct, but the reduction would be only £1. Fair enough as they are a reputable Insurer and I have had problems with my own Company. When I completed the application online the quote was nearly double, so obviously something was wrong. I have read quite a few reviews now, which are mainly negative, but everybody has got his/her own experiences. My experiences so far with MoreThan are excellent. My car cover was with Swinton before. Hello, Last night watched the More Than TV advert for Car Insurance. The advert clearly states they will better any renewal quote. Shockingly bad customer service. I had a minor bump in the ice last year, no damage to either my car or the other car, but I notified More Than just incase the other driver did try to make a claim, just to let them know what had happened and that it was probably neither cars fault but that no damage had occurred. We initially went with More Than because they seemed to do the best deals on multiple car insurance. However, when a year later we only needed to renew one car, they refused to transfer our no claims across to the remaining car. BEWARE they will renew your policy without your instruction to do so and then send you threatening letters and be deliberatly awkward about sorting it out. I was involved in an accident that wasn't my fault - unfortunately this is the third time for me, and compared to direct line and privelege, which in themselves were OK, More Than were faster, easier to get hold of on the phone and generally had better customer service. I recently took out a Morethan motor policy paying over £572 due to an error regarding no claims discount Morethan cancelled the policy on the grounds that they sent me a letter which I did not receive requesting a further £20.
As I did not pay the £20, Morethan cancelled the policy and informed me 14 days after cancellation that the policy was infact cancelled.
This company for the sake of £20 has rendered me liable for the offence of using a motor car without insurance and put my family at...

Would NEVER recomend this insurance to my worst enemy.WORST COMPANY EVER. Put my son on my insurance policy took all my details and his...no problem. So I have just received my renewal price. It has gone from £452 to £790 in a year. When I asked why they stated that it was due to a claim I made back in November. After talking to India again I told them to look at my policy and my claim. NO claim was made and it wasn't my fault (someone went into the back of me but the 3rd party repaired it for me as he didn't want to tell his insurance company). I gave up trying to renew my policy due to the incompetence of the call centre. I waited 15 minutes to get through to a sales person. She went through all of my details (very slowly) and then told me that she had a problem with my file and would have to transfer me to a colleague. Guess what? I went straight back into the queue! Awful company!!! I had a non-fault claim over 3 years ago and i'm still awaiting the refund of my excess.
Over three years i've wasted time and money on phoning India call centre and achieved nothing.
My complaints procedure tripled my renewal and no one can tell me why or how it tripled, let alone correcting the matter.

More than took payment on Sunday lunchtime, it is now Wednesday afternoon. Email confirmed policy was up, and a link to download policy was given. email address and password was set up at time of purchase. Today I try to tax my car via DVLA website to be told that my car is not insured. I cannot log into the more-than website, it will not accept my password despite printing it out at time of set-up simple three letter password, repeated three times, eg yopyopyop.
After oh, 16 attempts to log in, I clicked the reset password link to be told an email was being sent to allow me to do this. No email!
I got the original email open, after making the payment on Sunday, and wrote back to that explaining the problem with DVLA and that this was urgent - NO RESPONSE
I checked my credit card account, money taken.
On their webpage, prior to log-in there is a 'live chat' link, I click that, to be told I am No 1 in the queue, but after 30 mins wait, NO ONE REPLIED.
Have they gone bust? Dated 13th March 2013
