I bought this gun after reading other reviews so i was not too disappointed when i took it out the box.
It's very light and all plastic, almost looks like a toy but for the price what do you expect.
The power is low but is fun to use for general plinking.
Two problems i did notice was firstly the bb's don't always load and you can end up firing 2-3 times without any result.
2nd problem is the 2 safety catches which slow down any rapid fire fun. To load the gun you must first pull a lever to ...- Read teluk's review (172 words and 1 comment)

At £20 this gun is truly great value for money. Pretty powerful (bb's get lodged in trees), pretty accurate (can hit a 25mm bulls-eye at 15 metres), pretty fast rate of fire. Once you get the hang of cocking and the automatic safety it can take down a small rat at 10 metres. Not recommended for hunting as it would probably only injure, not kill, anything bigger than a mouse/small rat.
Altogether a great gun for adults and kids alike.- Read Piru's review (91 words)

When I got my first SMK Buddy 1702,I took it out of the Box to find that the little piece of plastic on the mag feed had snapped off during delivery, I sent it back and got a new gun. When I tried out the rifle for the first time I was at the weight, It really does weigh nothing! The power was quite good too. The Buddy is pretty accurate, once you get used to the sights, I can pop a wood louse at about 3 metres.
The only down sides to the buddy, and there is only two I am pleased to say, are ...- Read Saul Beeson's review (187 words and 1 comment)

WOW the SMK Buddy 1702 is a great Chinese gun for once. I had for 8 months and have enjoyed the use out of it. Got it out of the box and it was really light. I took it outside put 20 metal bb's in, pumped it shot it... uh-oh, a bb got wedged due to the horrifying amount of grease used on it but i cleaned it out. A power of 275fps. Don't be shocked as you get what you pay for. £22.95 from BGAT with 435 bbs free. I have over used this gun and I guess what? The butt started to crack!
Couldn ...- Read BomBom101's review (202 words)
