Pretty good car for £122. very economical, quick (for a diesel), looks good, sounds good, very reliable.
Can be noisy, doesn't always respond until the turbo kicks in, few bits in the interior not working, bit rusty… Read Full Review

Very reliable car the estate in my opinion is very roomy without car being to large to park comfortably unlike Mondeo witch is a bit difficult to judge mine as given me years of problem free driving with the turbo there for that little bit of power when needed. We've got a 1.4 petrol Ford Escort and a 1.8 diesel Ford Escort. Even with today's diesel prices I'd stick with the old diesel… Read Full Review

The European version of the Ford Escort is the original jack of all trades. It does everything that's asked of it. Then again it doesn't do most things particularly well.
The Ford Escort 1.8 Diesel LX Family Car is not quick, with only 60bhp under the bonnet it's vastly underpowered and can be embarrassed under acceleration by a fully loaded HGV. But then, when I bought it I wasn't looking for a blisteringly fast 0-60 time.
