“Belfry - the works spa break”

We recently visited the Belfy for a spa break 'the works' package, booked via spabreaks.com. On arrival we were told we couldn't use the spa facilities as they were £50 each extra but could use the pool and sauna/steam room. As this was advertised as a spa break we were not impressed. Also there were no robes availalbe and no sun loungers around the pool. The three course dinner included in the price turned out to be a canteen style help your self affair, with only one vegetarian... (read more)

Staff took the booking took the credit card details, but neglected to tell us you cannot use golf trolleys pull or electric, but you can rent a carry bag for £5.00 60 bags later and they are £300.00 better off, just another money making racket, £12.00 for two teas and 2 bacon sandwiches, the hotel seems to be the centre of attention and the golf is resting on it's former glory, yes the Brabazon has all the splendor but the Derby and PGA are a poor standard, There are lots of better courses...
