Good Points: Magnificent Setting. Wonderful Service
Bad Points: Leaving
General comments: What a wonderful experience, this was top of my list of "things to do before I snuff it" and it was worth every penny. The St Andrews Old Course was sensational and the caddies made a great day even better, if you love your golf then get there NOW! I recommend the Old Course Golf Hotel in the Scores as well because the service and care was superb. Thanks folks.

St Andrews IS the home of golf. I am not Scottish or a patriot, but it is. There are lots of different courses on offer. With different price ranges and different skill levels.
Balgove=The begginers course. It's a 9 hole but you get to play it twice for £3. It's free if you are under 16 and live in St Andrews.
Strathtyrum=The next level up , 18 hole long fairways . challenging bunkers etc £15 approx.
Eden course= never played this one, even harder 18 hole. Slightly more expensive ...

Our second trip to the Holy Land of St Andrews, Scotland proved to be fun and challenging. The Old Golf Course was still open while being prepped for the 2005 Open Championship. There were empty bleachers and all, but that didn't matter. The course was in fine shape. The greens were true, the bunkers deep.
