I have had my gilera runner for a year. I bought it with 2000 miles on the clock and i sold it just under 10,000. It is the best 50cc moped you will find. Never any problems with parts/problems. It is very fast for a 50 and with 5.2 gram rollers and a leo levinci exaust it flies although is averages at 55mph on a standard exaust. They hold money well and i would definatley recomend to a friend.

I bought this bike as a first ride-about and there are no problems. Got it as a spares/repairs project and had it fixed within a week, people say these things are unreliable but thats because they aren't mechanically minded, when you buy a bike you have to know how to repair it, if you have half a brain cell ,you can. simplest ,lovely ,smooth engine. Fantastic. Oh and if its smokey its because your drowning it in 2 stroke, retard.

I have had a gilera runner sp 50 limited edition for 4 months, it is rubbish, it eats fuel, very smokey, its been in shop 3 times and there wont admit there is a fault. but it looks ace. its not worth £2oo7!! I would not recommend this bike.

I LOVE my Gilera Runner SP 50 (which i've owned for a month), but it seems to have created a money pit which i am constantly throwing money in for repairs on this moped!

I've owned it for a month and since then, the electrics bugged out on me, my spark plug needed replacing, the carburettor needed to be replaced, and now it is leaking coolant from the cylinder head which i have to get sorted now (wheel it 2 miles to the mechanics)!

And i am pretty sure there are many other things im going to h ...

I've had my Gilera Runner sp50 2007 since new (2007) Have had it derestricted by main dealer with a new leo vince exhaust and 5.2g rollers which came with it. Can't fault the bike one bit. I use it everyday to get to work and back and it does a solid 62mph flat out.

brand new bike eats fuel,57mpg.......gilera does not want to help neither does Arch Motorcyles, in Leamington Spa, Warwickshire, they claim nothing wrong with bike. They say that is recommended mpg....beware when buying this bike....cheaper to drive a car.....

Acceleration is brilliant, Fuel consumption is low (150 miles for £5, can't argue), Suspension is good, Parts are easy to get hold of, quiet with standard exhaust. The best thing about this bike is that it makes you feel like you are riding the lamborghini of scooters, with the glowing red tachometer, stylish dash and digital screen showing speed, time, engine temp., fuel guage, and trip!Usually starts first time, but needs a little bit of throttle and rev to get it going.Bodywork covers l ...

I have just bought my first road legal scooter a gilera runner sp 50 and it is awesome, it has great accelaration, and a incredibly confortable seat, if youre looking for a new 50cc then look no further, I was looking for weeks for a scooter I wanted, at first I liked the yamaha aerox butf found this was a quicker and a lot more confortable scooter, ITS THE BEST

I got a Gilera runner purejet and I can say there truly the best 50cc bike I ' ve drove, I ' ve had Piaggio Nrg Dt and also aprilia Sr50 both being derestricted Gilera runners all the way although I ' ve never owned a sp but drove one for a week which my mate lent me. My purejet seems to be better on petrol.

It's large (high) and stable and runs reliably. Large front wheelI bought a 45 litre box to have on the back and it looks great. It starts slower when having a passenger but doesn't feel much slower going uphill with one.I feel like the king of mopedists.
I've had it for 5 months now and it starts without fail and drinks little oil. I get ca 130 km per tank. I have only owned one previous moped and that was a 4-stroke and ran (of course) much quieter. I haven't had it serviced yet but will soon.N ...

The Gilera Runner SP is a good bike/comfortable/very fast. The bike look brillint ive got two now amzin to race with ive had mine tuned and it will do a good 70 mph on the flat but it cost me more money than the bike is worth to get to go that fast. My tuned bike is kicking out 12 bhp on the dyno and it ticks over at 7000 rpm.

The Gilera Runner is an overweight scooter but surprisingly quick off the mark, slow acceleration is nigh on impossible. 9/10 for build and reliability.

Very good looking bike and very reliable even with all my rubbish I've put on it, thats another thing, you can do what you like to them. Very nice to ride. I found it a good cruiser.
I would say they are one of the best mopeds you can buy!
