    Good Points: None!

Bad Points: Call centre staff are very obviously scripted, but polite. However, if you require anything outside of what their script says, you may as well go and hit your head against a brick wall!
I'm not going to get what I want, so I'm not wasting my energy on this useless company any longer.

General comments: When I decided to switch back to BT, Homecall Broadband cancelled my account immediately, leaving me without any service at all. I have ben passed from one department to the next without getting my service restored. I was told at one point that I had not been a customer of theirs since Dec 2006! Can I claim back all the charges that I've paid them since then?!?!

I've been with Homecall Broadband for 3 years and have never had a problem. My broadband speed is around 7mbs which is what they promised. I get superb rates for unlimited overseas calls (2p per minute) for a surcharge of 2.69 per month. My phone and broadband bill is consisently less than half what my previous provider was charging me.
What are you all complaining about?

I have been with Homecall for around 18 months now, I download alot and am an avid online gamer (both pc and ps3) and have never had any connection issues. I cannot fault them at all.

I've been with homecall for 2 years, never been cut off, never been overcharged, broadband speeds are well in excess of 6meg. I personally can't fault them.

I started another 12 month contract with a promise of a reduced fee package. Since then they have consistently overcharged me every month in my opinion. I have to phone them which usually takes a good 15mins (@5p a minute) to sort it out. I get told it will be credited on my next bill. My next bill arrives, not only has it not been credited I've been overcharged again! So I got my bills together highlighted all the overcharging etc and with a stern letter sent it to them. As far as I am aware I ...

Having had £59.97 credit in April we were cut off both internet and phone 3 times being told we owe money having got a MAC code and left them in May we are still getting letters in August despite them taking £157 from our account in June (still no refund or answer from anyone as to why this happened.) asking for money.
The worst firm ever in my experience, now owned by Tiscali, not recommended.

Waiting for my contract to end so I can find someone else! Slow, slow, slow! I try to run a business from home and it's soooo slow it's depressing! Called to ask them why and get the usual silly questions every time. Have you turned your pc off and back on? Infuriating

I have a speed problem which has been ongoing for 4 1/2 months and no end in sight. Communication is non-existent unless I phone them on their 0871 support line.Just awful, avoid them like the plague

No problems with them really, apart from one or two but the great customer service and technical support service helped me out very well.

I signed a 18 month contract with Homecall, its been always slow, the customer service didn't want to help me, because they said my line hasn't got any problems. They also never send me any reports. Well, so bad so far. I've spoken with them so many times, but nothing happens, its always the same. I've tried to leave the service and they asked me for a lot of money, that a cant afford, and I think its a madness. Anyway, if anyone knows how to leave this company please help me!

This company are useless. If you are thinking of joining them don't. I have had almost a year of either no connection or very slow unstable connections. Technical support are great at running speed tests, asking how many phone sockets you have, your windows version, or blaming BT but nothing else.

Calls are not returned, when you ring again they often say you were misinformed. Going through getting a MAC code now (since my contract is all but up) and have had to chase 3 times so far......

I left BT & Tiscali after getting a recommendation to switch to home call Pipex. however after I signed up it took me forever to be connected. So many problems, 3 failed attempts, they don't even know that I am on them yet as they don't have me on system for broadband

so finally I switch over after 3 failed attempts and my speed slows to what can only be described as slower than dial up. I ring to complain and they tell me they have not connected me yet and due to switch on the 16th. However ...

I signed up with them in October 2006, receiving speeds of 5.5Mbps. About a month into the contract I started getting speeds as low as 33Kbps in the evenings, so I called what Homecall Broadband call "technical support". They changed my build on the server, and since that date I have never managed to get passed 1Mbps, and they don't know how to put it right. It has taken until now 6.04.07 and hundreds of phone calls to them to finally get a technical cancellation from my contract. Now, when I do ...

This is the How Not To Do It of broadband provision. I had assumed that after Pipex acquired them, HomeCall would improve - but it hasn't happened. I run a PC supplier for small and medium-sized businesses, so I know a bit about broadband providers, installation, what's good and what's not.

Two members of my family have HomeCall Broadband, and the service has been as bad as anything I've ever encountered. The only thing they have ever done efficiently was take money.

If your looking for speeds of about 256kbps, then go with Pipex, forget about online gaming or downloading. If you like corporate distraction techniques, you'll love Pipex, they just keep on keeping on doing nothing while asking you to fill in pointless questionaires about your servers IP and whether your computer is allergic to bread.
Few of their remedies add up when the connection speeds vary from 100- 250 kbps, woefully short of anything approaching broadband, let alone the threatened 8m ...

I was wandering if anyone here has actually resolved the cancellation of there broadband package & how they managed it. My years contract was up 18th September 2006. But i am having no luck getting them to cancel & give me my migration code so i can change providers. I have read a lot of reviews but you all sound unresolved.

I was lied to from the start by saying i was getting 2mb broadband & line rental & a call package in one. After a month i found out i was charged for calls, there was no ...
