Good Points: When working, it can be pretty fast and effective like broadband should be
Bad Points: Reception is extremely poor, considering I'm based in the middle of central London. this is not what i'd expect in London. the reception can be extremely bad, staying off sometimes for 1-2 hours. When it does connect, sometimes it will disconnect every 5-10 minutes for hours, until it eventually stabilises again.
General comments: Worth it if you are patient and can put up with huge periods of bad reception. This is taken from the perspective of central london where im based.

Almost a waste of time. I live i North Wales and the reception is BAD. nothing they can do. Same with vodafone 3g card, when will a company produce something for the RURAL areas of the country. Wales , Scotland etc. So many of us experience this problem.

I am delighted with my purchase. I am a contractor that spends lots of time in other peoples offices and in the past had to try and convince the IT manager to let me plug into his network. Now I can use my card anywhere and in most areas I get a 3G signal which means that for normal e-mail and web surfing it's lile being on broadband at home....brilliant, I would recommend it to anyone !

I just got a T - mobile data card and it turns out it's not compatible with my laptop. I tried to get some sort of an adaptor from PC world and none are available at all. When I went back to Carphone Warehouse they refused to take it back. T Mobile has been no help either. They keep pointing fingers at each other and meanwhile I'm left with a product which I cannot use and still expected to pay for, for 18 months!! If you are thinking of getting a data card make sure it's compatible with your la ...

I received this card on Saturday and after whacking the cd in and installing the software I attempted to connect... no joy! As I live in a poor signal area I decided to give it a go in Plymouth where the signal was better, still no joy! After a phonecall to customer services they told me a technician would phone back, 5 hours later they hadn't so I phoned them back again and decided to wait on the line this time, about 25 minites later I finally get through to a technician who saw the problem st ...

If this works it would be great.
But after using this card on their price plan for 2 months, it doesn't, its just not reliable to use for any length of time.

The T-Mobile Communication Centre 3G Data Card seems like a potentially brilliant piece of new technology which can't yet meet what it says on the tin. The line rental is very cheap but if it doesn't work, then it is pouring money down the drain. I've had a few months line rental free because of the problems I've had. The connection was lost whilst typing this very review. I am not a computer expert, but am reasonably confident in what I am doing. The instructions steer you towards a plug and pl ...

At present T-mobile are offering a good deal. This 3G data card is excellent for my needs, I travel up and down the country, stay in many hotels and plenty of traffic jams. Always a good signal available.

All-In-All there is no doubt about it! 3G technology is what mobile workers have been waiting for. With VPN support and a high speed connection you'd never need to visit the office or be stuck at motorway services with nothing to do again...
Although the T-mobile Communication centre 3G service probably seems expensive once weighed up to the cost of a hotel Internet connection (£15 per day), this service all of a sudden seems well worth it.
The only thing we need now is an ever lasti ...
