“Great update but no Word about Office”

At just £20.99 from the App store the huge software update makes a great improvement on Snow Leopard. The upgrade is stable, comes with iCloud- crucial for saving documents. The sole problem is there was no warning whatsoever that the upgrade was not compatible with Microsoft Office 2004, so I now have to buy an upgrade to that at a minimum cost of £120. (read more)

Apple's latest OS in the OSX series is a strong one. The BSD subsytem is tried and tested and as stable as they come. Apple's policy of open-sourcing is increasing the amount of SW available for the Mac providing Mac users with something of a SW rennaisance. Many RIP and high-end SW manufacturers are considering OS X as a server platform as opposed to Windows.
