    THE GOOD
Looks like I've been lucky so far with my Quad 400. About 50 shots and no breakage. Took a buck with it last night, arrow went thru both shoulder blades complete pass thru. He took 2 steps and dropped.
    THE BAD
Bow is very noisy, and the trigger pull is long and sloppy and has no feel. Took the cocking device off, as it just adds to the noise level, and really doesn't work all that great.
    ACCURACY
Seems to be very accurate with the Barnett red/green dot installed, shooting very tight groups out to 30-35 yards.
    SUMMARY
I do wish I would have read more reviews before I purchased the Quad 400, I might have bought something else. So far so good for the price.

I dealt with barnett from tarpon springs and they have been great on service. The bow is extremely accurate. I took a five point buck at 30 yards. It was a pass through shot. The buck went 35 yards.

I ORDERED THE QUAD 400. WAS HARD TO SIGHT IN AND MAKES ALOT OF NOISE WHEN FIRED.GOT TO HUNT WITH IT ONE SEASON AND THE CABLES WERE FRADED BAD. I recently purchased a Barnett Quad 400. I shot the bow three times and the string broke. My 11 year old daughter, Thank God, was on the left side of me when the string broke and the carbon arrow flew to the right of me. If my daughter was where she was the prvious shot, she would have been hit right in the head and possible be dead right now. I cannot believe all the bad reviews on Barnett and they are still in business. I wish the owner of the Company was in front of me right now, God Bless Hi ...

I read all the reviews and thought that won't happen to me, today I shot my Barnett quad 400 for the first time and the string broke, I rush ordered another string, I am optomistic, but think I should return it and spend a little more money on one.

I purchased a Barnett Quad 400 Crossbow from Bass Pro Shops and on my second shot the bow string broke and caused a very dangerous situation! I took it back to Bass Pro Shops and they replaced the entire crossbow with another one. After taking about 30 shots the exact same thing happened again!! I would not recommend anyone purchase one of these crossbows and the company needs to take them off the market before someone is killed or injured!

I purchased the Barnett Quad 400 based on speed and price. The speed is there, the price was right, but, of course, if the string and cables blow up the first time that you use the crossbow, then you it can't labeled as a good value. Well, to be accurate, my Quad 400 didn't exactly blow up on the very first shot - it took about 20 shots to do the trick - still a crappy value. Additionally, the comment about having to use heavier aluminum bolts makes sense (load the system more), but Barnett ...

well i work at an Academy sports and outdoors and we have an archery shop, I sell alot of cross bows and id like to say the quad 400 crossbow is a peice of junk,I had a gentleman come in the other day to purchase a quad 400 and at that time i told him i didnt know much about it as im more of a bow person, i said it was pretty fast. well he wanted it as it was his first cross bow, i set it up for him and after the 3rd shot he took the safety off to fire and when he pulled the trigger it launched ...

I bought the Barnett Quad 400 Crossbow based on price. But you get what you pay for. Also, there is no service after the sale. I called and emailed the company after I started having trouble and never...never got a reply.

I recently purchased a Barnett Quad 400 package with a Barnett scope. The bow was easy to assemble and sight in
It is extremely fast but is quite loud, I think some silencer may quiet it down a little.
The trigger assembly could definitely use some improvements. The pull is easy but is very long and will require getting use to.
As I read in other reviews the Barnett scope is not very good. After only seven shots the reticle started to rotate inside the scope.
I have sent three email to Barnet ...

The jury is still out for me, but I am not completely satisfied with my Barnett Quad 400. I feel it is noisy, the trigger is bad, and the accuracy is at best questionable. I will be shopping for a new crossbow this summer.

I have hunted over 20yrs with bows and horton crossbows but I decided tobuy the barnett and it has been unreliable piece of junk. I found the barnett quad 400 crossbow to be innaccurate, i had parts that loosened easily as well.

The warranty dept. has done the best they were able, but when every time you get the bow back it breaks again, what can you say?
The quality of this bow is pathetic in my opinion. I have personaly had the limbs replaced 3 times under warranty.I think they must be building them in Mexico due to the lack of quality. Sorry I bought this one, wont happen again.

When I first got the Crossbow a couple years ago, I had only shot it around three times and it wouldn't cock anymore. I messed with it several times trying to get it to cock and I finally got it to cock but I couldn't get the safety off so naturally there was the bow cocked and all that tention on the string. I called the Barnett Co. and told them about it and they had me try a few things to get the safety off but I couldn't. They wouldn't let me send it back until it was fires somehow but I jus ...

All around not a bad crossbow but improvements are needed. The Barnett Quad 400 Crossbow is really fast to use and accurate. Its quite heavy and noisey and the trigger assembly should be recalled in my opinion and replaced with a metal trigger housing.

This is the second crossbow I have received from Barnett. Both have broken the exact same way. The main bowstring disconnects from the left hand caliper. I only shot the first bow about 8 times before it happened and the replacement one lasted about 18 times before it did it. I followed all the waxing and operation procedures.

Bought this bow and within a year gave it back. complete garbage. The bow is very inaccurate, poor design, and poor workmanship in my opinion
