Good Points: Excellent build quality and panel
nice and Bright
12 ms response time means I get no bottlenecks or ghosting
Looks very attractive in silver (most pictures on net don't do it justice)
Easy to configure and has helpful pre-configure OSD options.
Not a single Dead Pixel
3 year on site warranty from LGUK.
DVI and controls are neatly located under the monitor and hidden behind a Door at the rear of the TFT.
Easy Hight Adjustment.
Bad Points: No DVI cabled supplied, although Wont need DVI yet.
No horizontal Tilt. Only Verticle Tilt
Could be cheaper
General comments: This was my First TFT purchase and being a student with limited funds, an expensive purchase.
Specs:
12ms Response time
DVI (although Im running it with D-sub)
550:1 Contrast ratio (very bright)
I play Games, Use a wide range of applications and watch movies on my PC monitor. After much research, I chose this Model and brand (it was a long research, trying to select a tft from so many different brands, models and prices).
I was worried at the time, If I was to buy it online Would I recieve a good monitor or would I end up as one of those few who get Dead pixels.
Well, I must say. I am impressed with this monitor and am proud of my choice. It offers an excellent Display and is ideal for all applications.
I purchased her for £250inc vat. You can get the L1730s without DVI for £230 inc vat.
This TFT model has a very bright, clear and crisp display. The colours are very well defined and running it at 1280x1024 makes my eyes feel like they are in heaven.
Its so thin, consumes low power and looks handsome on my desktop (gives me more space to do other things as well).
I say, Buy it. Dont be scared. If you see a TFT go for it especially if you see this model.
