Good Points: Fantastic optics, great ergonomics, solid manufacture, easy focus, warranty.
Bad Points: First pair faulty
General comments: The Olympus 8x42 Magellan EXWP I has fantastic optics, great ergonomics, solid manufacture and easy focus.
Bought these fine binoculars after much research, both on the net and in the flesh. For their price they have no equal and for general-purpose binoculars I would absolutely recommend these to all (I use them on my boat and the rugged casing is an extra bonus).
Having shown these to others they all comment on how clear and close things look - testimony to a fine pair of binoculars.
The above said, I bought these over the web direct from the states and the pair received had a red fringe around the leafs of trees and along the edges of white buildings - not a problem as I returned them to Olympus UK for replacement and a new pair arrived a couple of says later (another reason for buying these Olympus binoculars.
