Good Points: Astonishingly good exposure, able to capture shadow & highlight details most of the time, great macro, battery lasts for months, colours accurate and strong. Routinely gives great shots with no fuss. This camera is an unsung hero. I have used loads of compacts as well as prosumer Nikons - and I just wish that the Nikons (my current is a D300) would get the exposure and white balance right as often as the Sony.
Bad Points: The sensor has a tendency to get dirty. I have carried mine around every day for 4 years and taken many thousands of shots - twice I have had to strip it down to clean the sensor (I'm a cheapskate) but then it is like new.
General comments: I have the P120 - just a black P100 with a case and a pointless spare battery - and wear it on my belt every day. It fires up in no time, takes a perfectly exposed shot (often concealed in my palm) and then disappears again. Absolutely ideal for candid / street / any photography. Not the ideal camera for low light shots. (I have a vastly inferior in daylight Fuji F30 for those.) I have used and own a whole shoe box of newer and older compact digitals but it is the Sony P120/100 that is the reliable workhorse. In fact I own 3 now. I don't care that 5.something megapixels is considered puny, it's the image that counts.

The Sony CyberShot DSC-P100 blew me away with its state of the art features all packed into this little box. It certainly packed a punch when the shots I took were displayed on the "big screen".
The colour and clarity of the images were second to none. Considering that this was a Carl Zeiss lens, I wasn't surprised at the quality of the images.
The battery life was surprisingly very good. When fully charged, you should be able to get about 200 minutes - and all it takes is a 2 hour charge ...

I bought the Sony CyberShot DSC-P100 camera, so far I have had no problems with it. When I bought it, it was presented well with a USB Cable, TV out Cable, 32mb memory stick, hand strap, battery, and an ac adapter.
