Real music and audio addicts don't have an alternative!! It is 'the one and only' CD-R, despite the cost.

The Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab Ultradisc CD-R is a very well packaged 24 karat gold CD-R for people that are concerned with longevity. The packaging states a 300 year life which I kind of find hard to believe. However it is true that gold does not oxidize, so maybe there is some merit to the 300 year claim. With Samplitude I burned several discs on my plextor drive at 1, 4 and 8 x and found the 1 x burn to be remarkably better.
More testing to come but first impression is a really robustly made ...
