I have tested and owned in-ear phones ranging up to 50 pounds (and high end full size phones up to 250 pounds)and the Sennheiser MX 450's compare to them with ease. What suprised me straight away was the smoothness of all audible frequencies, especially the mid range. Also a crisp treble with plenty of bass.
