“Non existant customer service”

We have had an issue with our booking since day one where an agent hasn't booked the correct hotel. The so called customer support team are a nightmare. They don't respond to emails we've sent 15 to date, when you try to call you can never get through. When you do they won't put you through to a manager. I would never use them again, would not recommend them and would prefer just to get my money back but they have a policy of not refunding money just taking more where they can. “Misleading information to try and take more money off you”

I can only say this is the worst travel company I have ever used in my life. They say one thing and do another. They agreed a holiday for me and my family at an agreed price and once I paid the deposit, it became apparent that they had mislead me and charged my 1 year old grand-daughter full adult fare! “Wrong Accomodation The Type And Bill Total - AVOID BE...”

Teletext Holidays is a English based Company with its advisor's and customer service agents based in India. If you phone them they will book you into the completely wrong Accommodation the wrong type of accommodation even though you have specifically asked for the accommodation you want to go to and the room type. I'm glad your sorry to hear my complaint but it seems that after asking your support team to contact me giving a suitable time and contact number the call didn't materialise on Saturday. I then against my better judgement called the support team, I was in conversation for 62 minutes with another member of staff who was unable to resolve. I was put on hold for at least 7 minutes on one occasion the next time I wasn't even informed I was being placed on hold. I now have been told at least 4 differing prices and their breakdown for the cost of my holiday, the rep on the phone asked me to tell him how much I was quoted and confirmed as the cost of my holiday even though they should have the information based on my reference nu.ber for the holiday. I was also told I had been given discount on the price when I pointed out his figures didn't add up which was a blatant lie. This is not good customer practice folks and proves my point that I have been mislead during my booking.

Hi I have received another generic email telling me that I'm at fault for your booking reps fault yet in that email which is 2 lines long it doesn't say how this conclusion was reached from the audio that so far only you have access to.
I have asked for a copy of the transcript you say you listen to but as yet your Co. has yet to address how I was given 4 differing prices why the WRONG amount was taken why I'm going in September to Portugal to the WRONG accommodation with the WRONG type of accommodation. You are singularly the worst excuse for a holiday company I have ever come across.
By the way your Co was to ring me back on Tuesday at a certain time with a UK representative to sort your message out. I'm still waiting on that call why does that surprise me.

I totally agree, in a fight with them for full refund after being told lies on the phone about price the accommodation and room type. Surely this cant be legal to be allowed to do this. BBC watchdog anyone?

Their site showed £177 per person, and when i called it was £283 pp even though the site was updated less than 2 hours before i called. the sales guy was in India and told me there were only 6 seats left on plane therefore felt duress to book straight away. next morning less than 12 hours later, same holiday still available on their site for 4 people! when i called, even the supervisor confirmed seats were still available but as i had agreed to T&C they could do nothing. they use any sales… Read Full Review

The same happened to me. Yesterday the web price was £166 but when I called it was £214. Surprisingly today the web offer was £166 but when I called it was £219. My assumption is that they advertise non existing prices. I don't believe that in the meantime somebody must have cancelled the holiday as it happens to too many people. Just google "teletext holidays problems" Basically the price went up yesterday or earlier and they still show old price. Just to give them the call.

Their explanation is that they renegotiate deals every time to offer the reduced price, though strange that i havent heard anyone ever buying a holiday for the advertised price! wont be booking with them again and urge others to beware!

Someone did contact me and i spent half an hour on phone to be
told that i agreed to live prices and that there was no duress even though superviser confirmed seats were still available next day.. bad feeling all round.
Would be interested to know your stats for selling holidays at the listed prices on the sites.

I am appalled at the customer service I have received from teletext holidays! Me and my girlfriend booked a holiday back in February to Turkey but unfortunately she can't now fly due to unforeseen circumstances. Have been emailed today explaining in broken English that they only have one room and that my parents will have to accept a different hotel - payment has already been taken! I am truly disgusted and horrified that teletext were unwilling to fully refund my monies that I had paid in full the day after the awful shootings in Tunisia. Here is an update on this. Yesterday I had a voice mail, telling me I needed to pay another £455 for my holiday. After waiting 35 minutes I spoke to an guy who at the start was adamant I owed this money, even when I told him I paid in full. I even gave him a breakdown of flights and hotel prices. Eventually, after being on hold for 10 minutes he came back on and said I had paid for the holiday in full. Not even an apology for the upset this caused me. I have never used or never will use Teletext again

Iv also had this happen to me they also didn't put down two suitcases as if 4 of us are going away with no suitcases!!! It's taken about 18 phone calls to change my holiday in the end iv ended up paying an extra £500 for suitcases and transport I'm now on hold to them as they havnt added the suitcases but have been happy to take my money never again

“Very misleading adverts!!!”

Although they advertise holidays at extremely cheap price when you phone up and give them the reference they keep you on hold and go through entire booking process only to come up with a holiday that costs £200 more per person than it is advertised at!!! Transfers and baggage only cost an extra £50!! Very misleading and will not recommend them.
