“NO Hotel on arrival and NO response from customer support”

I arrived in Agadir for my much saved for holiday with my daughter (7) and husband. Upon arrival was told our hotel had been cancelled! spent a whole day stranded in Agadir spending £200+ on mobile phone bills to try and get an answer at teletext to get this sorted - always on hold. I am still after many emails and phone calls - I've waited the 28 days+ now for any kind of response from customer support and still have not had a reply! “The transfer from hell, 75mins turned into 3:30hrs”

Arrived Benidorm on time, found the bus ok, but that was the easy part. Asked the driver when we would set off, he said it was going to be about 45mins as he was waiting for passengers,I said how many drops have you got? He said 16, and we were No9 off, we landed at 6pm, 7pm spanish time, by the time we got off the transfer bus it was 10:30pm. 3:30 not the 75 mins stated in the booking.We have never been to Benidorm , so had no idea where things were. I do not recommend anyone too book with teletext there so unprofessional!!! After searching the net for over 3 hours i came accross what u thought was q great deal to magaluf 3 people 177 per person we called through to teletext spoke to layton who confirmed all was correct wat we saw online took a payment 531 to then turn around and say what we have just paid for had disappeared and we had to pay an additional 60 pound each, we was left on hold for long periods of time i spoke 2 4 different… Read Full Review

“Rip off, prices stated are not true, lots of hidden costs”

Saw what I thought was a reasonable prices holiday to Egypt next year April time and so I rang to confirm. The price shown didnt include transfers or baggage allowances which made the holiday more expensive than I wanted originally (hidden costs) that's not the biggest problem tho. I was told I the telephone that if I paid a deposit of 250 and paid a 1000 the following week that my flights would be secure and I wouldn't have to pay anything else until march 2015!!! This seems to be a common theme and message from teletext holidays! Unfortunately, this message is not satisfactory and instead of posting fake messages that don't mean anything. Do something about the service and standards to your customers. Sales staff are rude, unhelpful, pushy and will say anything to get a sale even if they give false or incorrect information!!

Totally agree...what a joke Customer Service..I don't think so...no service ... just angry customers..wonder if these answers are automated..just as there replies are...no wonder no telephone number...they'd probably have to have a seperate call centre for complaints I reckon...

“Terrible Customer Service for complaints worst I've known”

I had booked last minute deal, with extras, ie transfers and luggage..price went up..ok..it happens, but by over £100.00!'.. Gets worse..paid transfers, none arrived, stranded!!!... Stress factor high lost my voice for 3 days as I couldn't get 'reassurance' of a return transfer from A2B transfers...(no wonder..they didn't pick us up OR either take us back to airport..) Why???...u haven't answered so far...from June?!?..
My reference is COMPLAINT TT147574/1193/14
I have sent 14 emails and got just one letter back this week, which didn't even address the fact I was stranded without transfers I'd paid for.
It was obvious you hadn't read my original complaint..
Sent another e-mail this week asking someone to have decency to call n speak to me..nothing but standard blurb..we are looking into your complaint..as if..!!
I have made at least 10 calls to the Customer Service team..even contacting the providers in Crete!!...they've heard nothing from you..

Will it get resolved..we will wait and see...but hope fades fast..

If you also read the above you might notice that your letter ended with 'hoping we have been able to clarify matters'...nope ..you didn't..

All I'd like to say is this 'Could do better' think you need to get some sort of training in for your Complaints team..unless of course they are so few that they are inundated with more work than they can handle..
I wonder if you will actually address this now it's been put on open forum!?

When??...if you look on my numerous e-mails..please read them all...you will find my telephone number...no excuses,
I believe, for not being able to speak to me...
I am taking this further..especially reading the awful stories from others...mine almost fades into insignificance .
.but believe me ...this isn't insignificant to me..
my stress levels have grown by the week...Icertainly going beyond this forum with this one...

“Worst customer service. They lied and blackmailed me”

They said if i gave them a positive review they would upgrade me. This is blackmail and there was no upgrade even possible at the hotel. They talked over me the whole time and the whole experience was frustrating. The hotel was great we had been there before, but will never book through teletext again… Read Full Review

DON'T Book with teletext! I have never received more appalling customer service in my life. I am currently in the final payment process of my booking and honestly wish I never started it. WHY? Speaking to the agent that sold me the holiday was a delight, phase two, very unpleasant! “Their own version of the truth, a disaster from the start.”

We saw an attractive deal on their website so phoned to make a late booking for a sunny getaway. However the price jumped if you wanted to take any luggage and we were given a direct number to call if we wanted to proceed. All they seem to do is say we are sorry to hear of the problems you have encountered...blah blah blah...WATCHDOG any one?? I had same issue first guy very pleasant then horrendous experience thereafter ...this Company is a real Rough Trader...Maybe call them in for us all...302 reviews that seem to have similar themes...my price changed, I thought it was for baggage and transfers...left stranded when we arrived and even after lots of calls...no transport back to airport...loads of calls n e-mails...still no resolution offered..or compensation...yuk...is all I can say..(n I am not giving up on the complaint...)

That seems to be a common theme with teletext, rip off prices and then suggest that if you contact them that they will sort something out. Yeh, right!!! Poor customer service, rude staff, once they've got your money they are not bothered about then telling you without a valid reason that your holiday has gone up.. Again.... I found a holiday cheaper away from teletext too, wish I hadn't booked through teletext now :( want money back.....

Booked a last minute over the phone with TTH on 12/09/2014 - this was for a late cheap getaway on 14/09/2014 - Was quoted price over phone , everything cool booked and paid for , now : booked car parking at E Mids for the week on morning of 13/09 - phone call 1 hour later off TTH asking if i could fly back into MAN. due to the car being at EM i said no half hour later - TTH called again - could i fly out of MAN and return to MAN - fine by me as long as the sorted car parking half hour… Read Full Review

No complaint of holiday...last minute...but left stranded with no transfers there and back??...I can tell you it was so stressful...Glad your experience was good, but warning is, if it fails..it fails big time...read my experience, reflected in some of the other comments, thread is ..if it goes pear shape...no one cares...that's the underlying problem, there after sales is absolutely appalling and adds to stress..I went years ago with them and was fortunate enough to have a good experience but this has caused me so much grief...no second chances I can tell you...

Teletext are appalling they mislead you information then as soon as they have ur money they switch off & don't care. Myself partner & 2 children paid extra for them to check us in but they didn't bother so flight there & back we was sitting apart. Your team have fobbed me off for over 3 months every so oven they reply to my 50th emails saying we will respond in 7 days then after 7 days in same story another 7 days.

Let me start off by saying... All those people writing bad reviews about their holiday and accommodation need to release that there is something called trip advisor! Before you agree to any hotel have a look on there! Honestly! I booked a holiday to Tenerife with Teletext and it was the best holiday I have had in years! My sister and I were looking for holidays to tenerife for a last minute getaway over summer. We found a cheap one from East Midlands on teletext so rang up to book. Lo and behold the price had increased! The agent found us a cheaper one from a 'midlands' airport with the flexibility of a couple of days. We confirmed the details and paid.
