I booked a holiday a week ago for myself and two kids, 6 days later tried to add one more child, the initial holiday cost £680 per person...to amend the room for person is over £1000. To book a 16 year old her own room is £950...If I went online to book for 4 people now, same flights same hotel its £680 per person...of course I would then lose my £600 deposit...day light robbery. Still waiting for my reply/response to my new year holiday which I paid for only to find out the teletext had not paid my hotel and I had to pay hotel again and spend 4days on the phone to get refund.. I booked a package holiday with telextholidays . It was a lengthly process as there call centres are not based in the uk, after booking and paying I received an email to say my hotel wasn't available. It's ridiculous I would have to stay somewhere else. I can't stay anywhere else because I'm travelling alone and I have family staying in that hotel. I would be alone. “waiting for money back”

Booked to go on holiday sunday. Agent sent details via email which I checked over phone with her, all correct. Paid in full then was put on hold. Agent came back on line and said would phone me back to confirm flights. No call back but message left late evening to phone bk as problem wiyh flights. “DO NOT BOOK WITH TELETEXT!!!”

I wouldn't recommend booking with Teletext holidays at all. After getting our reservation wrong several times before we flew out (wrong hotel, then wrong flights, then spelt names wrong), when we got to the hotel, they had no record of our reservation. So basically if the hotel had of been full, we would have had nowhere to stay! To make matters worse, on the last day, Teletext had still not paid our hotel who then asked us to pay for the holiday again as they needed payment from someone!!… Read Full Review

After chasing up this week, was asked to give Teletext until Friday to respond. Chased today and was told a letter had gone out but they wouldn't discuss the content over the phone.

I asked for the letter to be emailed over within the hour - this did not happen. I got the email at 5.45pm on a Friday evening, presumably just as the staff were about to leave. I can understand why they did not want to discuss the content - offered £40 for a ruined holiday and the letter did not address half of the complaints.

Very poor service - if you are thinking of booking with Teletext I would advise you to go elsewhere. As a bit of a seasoned traveller, there are good companies out there who really look after you. This is the first and last time we will be using Teletext. I have never known such rubbish service and aftercare.

“Lost out around £600 or more! Disgusting! ”

We paid around £1700 for two at the BeLive Nina in Costa Adeje for all inclusive week. The minute we got there we hated it. A mass of beer bellys and tattoos around a crowded bar offering Cava on draught and white bread sandwiches with a slice of processed cheese.. No sun beds available. We phoned teletext immediately we got there to asked to be moved. We phoned several times a day for three days and never received any calls back. Booked and paid for holiday in April 2015,found out through a review site that the hotel on arrival will also require a €150 bond, l contacted teletext customer services to query this they said information was wrong so l asked them to confirm this in writing. So far after 3 phone calls and emails,still nothing. Contacted the hotel and they said yes they do require a bond and they want cash, so thats another exsense. Avoid these people!!… Read Full Review

“Dreadful customer service when dealing with problem”

My wife and daughter went to Santorini last September. When they arrived they found that someone had errantly cancelled hotel booking. Contacted Teletext Holidays who were as useful as a chocolate teapot. They made all the right noises but actually did nothing. The hotel management found alternative and very much inferior accommodation after searching all day. Holiday was effectively ruined. Nothing but bad reviews either about customer service or the most worrying- price increase after card details have been given! Teletext aren't teletext anymore they are now Truly Travel who were called Media Travel who were the worst advertiser on teletext, they are all based in india and advertise prices that are well below the nett they can actually sell them for, it's completely illegal, ice lolly and the holiday discount centre are the same, teletext used to be good but not anymore

“Shambolic and appalling”

Telephoned for a quote but was put under pressure to book as was told it was the last room and that the other 7 had been sold within last 2 hours. Offered further price reduction, and extras so booked it. Was told that holiday could not be confirmed until a copy of the passport or driving licence of the credit card holder was submitted (as it was my friends partner). TT198812. I won't hold my breath though. I emailed Customer service AGAIN on 29 Dec when I wrote this review and received yet another reply assuring me that someone would ring me "shortly by the following day". To date no-one has AGAIN! I have now requested the names and contact details of the Managing Director and Chief Executive. If no joy then I will be contacting Trading Standards, and Watchdog.

“Coach travel from hotel to airport.”

The worst possible thing which can happen on your return from a weeks holiday in Calas majorca..The Spanish coach driver checked our name on his list of people to take to palma airport,but for some reason best known to himself did not put our case on the coach.Our case was placed with about a dozen other cases to put on the coach,but when we got to palma airport no case! “Lack of communication and customer sevice”

Destroyed are holiday before we have even taken it. Booked people on a flight with no conformation and expect the group to stand the payment or they will cancel the whole holiday and we loss just short of £6000 they said as we booked as a group were responsible. “Will Never Use Again”

I have booked a few holidays via Teletext Holidays and all without incident - was always happy with price & service. I have spent the last 2 days ringing about various holidays I have been interested in that were advertised on their website. I have to say I am quite disgusted that every holiday I asked about turned out to be at least £150 more than the advertised price! (Apparently due to their 'live' pricing system.) Its a well know fact that Teletext advertise about 15% below net cost just to draw you in, then hope you will book anyway. No one can sell a holiday below net cost as they would be making a loss.

About time Trading Standards stepped in.

“no sea view like paid for this can put a real damper...”

Looking out at rubble is not a double sea view which was paid for hotel staff not interested in helping hotel very large and we feel the room we was given is rated at 2 in level up to 10 a very poor start to our holiday have tried to contact teletext holidays but we are into the 4th day with no sucsess its very distressing when no one can help and its very clear on our booking voucher double sea view… Read Full Review

Dear Teletext holidays, My parents are currently stuck in a hotel in Rhodes. This is because you changed their hotel the afternoon before they were due to fly out and have not forwarded the payment to the new hotel. They've taken their passports off them and have told them they have to pay again by the end of the day if they have not received the payment from the previous hotel.
