Hello, my friend. The standard of this company has gone down hill very fast. I booked with them for a few years now but this year's booking (twice!!!!!!, in May and Sept) amde me realise how good a company is when you requested for change, alterations, etc. You get to place on hold over the phone, very difficult to speak to the right person and promises that they do not keep.
Same with me that I had book the holiday and was told the offer of a rpivate (this occasion) transfer was no longer available and I had to source it myself at the place that I have never been. Previous occasion was change of flights and claims for refund to Air Passenger Duty for a minor. I cannot claim from Thomas Cook as I booked my flights through Teletext Holidays and TH said I am not allowed refund because I paid for my holidays in Jan BUT for a holiday in May. The new regulations came effective on 1 May 2015 and we do not fly until 20 May. I can just go on with their attitudes and their response that someone will get in touch. I hope the tv will take up your stories and many others who had befallen to their way they conduct their business. Shame on Teletext Holidays. I would still go overseas for my holidays and i think it is best to visit the Travel shops and discuss it with a real person.

Let's see what your response is..........however before you give me a standard response, please contact your colleague(s) who had gave me an earlier response which was unsatisfactory.

Surprise me and I will put my hands up to say your company has dealt with my issues favourably and I may reconsider booking my future holidays with you. My family and I take at least two holidays in a year, including cruises. It may not be our money that spent on Teletext Holidays but I am sure other holiday makers too.

Booked holiday to Turkey, found out week before going of family problems that would affect our holiday plans. Phoned, mailed, phoned, mailed, Teletext with no joy, only wanted to change names with same number of people going on SAME dates !!! I had three issues with them over two holidays - one in May and Sept. After many calls, emails, messages on facebook......NO. They said they are not in the wrong but obviously I was ill advised by them. Even the last one, it was over a mere £20+ that I am only asking them to compensate and they would not do it even on a gesture of goodwill. It was an offer of a private transfer rather then a coach transfer. After I booked it, the person over the phone said it is no longer available and deduct £50 and said it will be cheaper to source my own transfer. I have never been to the place and when I search it on the web it was more expensive even for a coach transfer. After complaining, they said they will book it for me but will cost £70+ of which I said I am willing to pay £50 and they would not accept it. It is a matter of principle on this occasion. They insisted that it is up to the customers on transfers!!!!!!!. I eventually managed to find one myself but costing £50+ and no thanks to Teletext. I have learnt my lesson with them but I am still pursuing this incident and a previous one on Air Passenger Duty refund for a minor.

Yes, but only in their favour as I had given up. They insisted they had done nothing wrong. What so frustrating is their call back as they had promised and I had to keep pestering them for someone to help me. After awhile, I was told it was too late and was not given further advice or that I should contact Thomas Cook about change of flights. I ended up buying another full ticket and just wasted the initial one.
Like any company, you will find how good a company is when you need their help. In this case, Teletext Holidays tried but failed miserably in my case (not once unfortunately)

I have already written to you in regards to this incorrect information (see below).

For your convenience, I have also attached the invoice that your company sent me, confirming that we paid a total of £1,186.00 for our holiday. You have confirmed a refund in the amount of £593. This means that £593 IS STILL OUTSTANDING.

I have no idea why this is not extremely obvious and how your representatives keep missing this fact.

This is absolutely unacceptable service.

Yet again, I received a call back from a Teletext representative that insisted that a refund had been processed on 17 July 2015 and proceeded to read me out the details of this refund, including the card number. This card belongs to my partner.

Yes, on this date, £593 was refunded to my partner's card. This was never in dispute. The additional £593 that I paid from my Lloyd's Visa card IS STILL OUTSTANDING. I have multiple records from Teletext that there were two separate payments of £593 upon booking our holiday; why the representatives I have spoken to are not understanding this is completely beyond me. I have never experienced such incompetence from a professional company in my entire life.

Please refrain from contacting me any further with inane comments and incorrect information. It is insulting.

As previously mentioned, I will be starting court proceedings in 14 days if I have not been refunded by then.

I have used Teletext holidays in the past and although the price has always gone up slightly, I could live with the increase. I tried to book another holiday and when quoted 40% more I said this was ridiculous and after speaking to his supervisor, the agent came back offering the rate I had seen. Further, optional extras such as baggage, transfers etc are not included in the advertised price and it is our client's choice if they wish to book them.

I was aware the holiday would need the extras adding on, as this has always been the case on the previous bookings I have made with you. It was the basic cost that went up by 40%. And if as you say, the price fluctuated by this 40%, why did you not update the price on your website. The price remained at the original quote, which is misleading to say the least.

I note you make no comment about the disconnection and the lack of telephone call from your Manager. The bottom line is that you are deliberately not putting the price you want to charge on the website and hope that once you get a customer on the line, they will pay the increased price. Shame on you!

“Cancelled Hotel- AVOID”

I booked a hotel a month ago for Ibiza Tropicana coasts Suites! The first time i tried to make the payment of over £700 it failed but the money had still gone out as if the transaction had. I had no confirmation from teletext yet my bank had taken it out. Write to parent Co. Truly Travel based in holborn London send as recorded post. The transcript can be got from them for a fee no more than £5-£10 as per the law on charges allowed. Inform the company that if they won't provide the transcript you will be in contact with the information commissioners as they will have broken data protection regulations. Once you have transcript contact your bank or card issuer and get them to persue your refund. Shame this company on Facebook they don't like the negative reviews no matter what they say. All we can do is help others avoid using Teletext Holidays them where it hurts folks.

“Over charged. Awful hotel. Disgraceful customer service ”

I wish for someone to contact me ASAP regarding my recent holiday. I wish to discuss as to why my two children have been classed as adults and I have obviously been over charged for the hotel and probably flights. I have already spoken to him yesterday.

It does not change how I feel about teletext as the initially holiday was advertised at £475.00 for the week, you did not honour this price it was charged at £599 inc 1 bag luggage which I paid.

Because we had to change the dates the flights are now advertised at £175 for both of us but I paid £366 and I had to pay a further £160.00 totalling £526.00, and the flights for new dates are £175.00 for the two of us, is this even legal.

Even when I asked to cancel the hotel which cost £232 you have charged an extra £20 for the cancelation which is 3 months notice.

No apology has been offered or explanation as to why I could not have been contacted to deal with the situation immediately once the dates had to be changed, as I am sure easyjet allow cancellation if done within 24hrs of booking.

STILL WAITING!!!!!! -TT273211

No contact and no confirmation of change of flights and most importantly no refund for the hotel cancellation even though card details were taken by your customer service representative.

Please do not fob me off with it takes 7-10 days I work in hospitality and I know how long it takes to refund a card INSTANTLY!.

Can you please provide the confirmation of new flight dates and confirmation of the cancellation of the hotel, which I was told I would get. When I log onto MY BOOKING on your site it is showing all the old dates and hotel still as booked!

Can you please rectify all of the above by close of play today.

Booked my holiday after taking my card number was informed I would be charged for using card he should of mentioned this before hand I let that go got sent my booking details checked them all four names correct I had my transfer confirmed as payed so thought no more of it until I come to print them off they had only booked transfer for 2 people my husband rang and was told they would call him back we never.received the call so rang them back to be told we would have to pay in resort and send… Read Full Review

“Non existant customer service”

We have had an issue with our booking since day one where an agent hasn't booked the correct hotel. The so called customer support team are a nightmare. They don't respond to emails we've sent 15 to date, when you try to call you can never get through. When you do they won't put you through to a manager. I would never use them again, would not recommend them and would prefer just to get my money back but they have a policy of not refunding money just taking more where they can. “Misleading information to try and take more money off you”

I can only say this is the worst travel company I have ever used in my life. They say one thing and do another. They agreed a holiday for me and my family at an agreed price and once I paid the deposit, it became apparent that they had mislead me and charged my 1 year old grand-daughter full adult fare!
